hey, do you take meds? if yes, can you tell me your experiences? what do you take, how long did it take for showing effects, how is your ocd doing since? i’m thinking about taking meds, but i am so concerned about feeling worse once i stop taking them (i would also do erp therapy)
I use Effexor it take about 1 month to 1 and half months to work . I tried getting off my meds and when my ocd got really bad again know I missed up. It took along time to kick back in . There a-couple different meds out there for ocd but the all take about a month to kick in . You will mostly need to talk to a medical health doctor to get the meds you need. I think it take about 2 weeks to see someone if Columbus to start the meds. Meds help you get unstuck or not ruminate on your thoughts, but it does not take the ocd away. I hope this helped

Everyone are different Everyones body is different So meds works differently on different bodies I am taking meds from last 12 years It genuinely helps me in my recovery work So it ur choice but according to me its helpful
I'm on lexapro 10 MG and it seems to lower my anxiety and allow me to do ERP. I never wanted meds too. For most people its not an immediate change so give it time. Also remember that meds are meant to help and not a cure all don't let it become a reasurance cure. That's what happened with me. Also don't go googling symtoms.
I started Buspar two weeks ago. Still waiting for it to fully kick in. It def takes time! I also take Prozac which helps. I have ocd and bipolar 2. My psych also suggested Calm Magnesium powder which ive found helpful.

Hello,I'm so on the fence about starting medications or not. I know its a personal choice but what benefits have you all experianced? I also practice ERP with my therapist so I know that should be helpful with my OCD journey. But what made you decide to start or not start? I've been on Zoloft before but not long enough to feel the effects since I got freaked out about reading about withdrawl symptoms so my OCD messed that up for me.

Hi I have tired erp therapy not for long enough tho helped to a certain extent but has anyone tried any medications that actually work ? I have never tried any and just want to see if anyone’s notice good amount of difference with their ocd /rocd once taking medication ?
