Ocd always attacks the things/people we care about the most. I also used ERP which did help me. My therapist used to get me to either say out loud or write down my latest thought over and over and over again for 2 hours or so until I got really really bored, I then found the thought boring too and was able to move on quicker. Might work for you

I had similar with my husband. You just need to stop right now. Ask no more questions, allow yourself to live with your thoughts and allow yourself to be ok with the fact that you are never going to know everything about her past, nor do you need to, it will just lead to more and more unanswered questions in your head. Sit with your anxiety and realise that eventually the thought you have will subside. If you break and ask her, you’ll definitely just be making way for more and more thoughts and questions. I’m on sertraline and it 100% works for me. Been on it for 4 months, 100mg and have my life (and marriage) back again. Perhaps you need to give your meds longer to work and in the meantime ask your doc for diazipam but only as a very short term fix until the sertraline starts to work. Ask yourself are your feelings fact or just thoughts? I know what the answer will always be and it really doesn’t matter one bit about your girlfriend’s past, it changes nothing you knowing, just increases your anxiety. I wish you luck, I’ve been there and know there’s light at the end of the tunnel but just stick with it

Thank you, it helps to know that someone else has been through this. She has told me today that shes scared me asking more questions will tip her over the edge, as she didnt have a very good life and is struggling with the memories being brought up by this. I love her too much to do that to her, so what you say is what I will do. I know the root cause of why it feels important for me to know these things, I feel men are a threat. This comes from many different things in my past. Thank you again for your advice ?

The doctor has put me on quetiapine a few days ago. Im still having similar thoughts, questions about her past. I just want to go back to how I was before this was triggered off. Really feel like there's no hope now if I have to take an anti psychotic.
