I’ve been taking 200mg of Fluvoxamine for years now. It helps, but I wouldn’t say it’s fixed everything. As always with medication I guess. I do feel tired a lot of the time, I’m not sure it’s related to the medication though.

I took Luvox/ fluvoxamine for over a year. It helped with OCD but not enough with anxiety and depression. I was on 200mg. It made me very tired as well. I had to always take naps. I just started Trintellix 4 weeks ago 10mg and I’m slowly going up. I’ve been on almost every ssri and so far this one has been the best for me. I have no anxiety. My depression has lifted and I’m feeling relief with OCD but I need to go higher. I don’t feel over drugged like I did with Luvox, I have more energy and my head is much more clear. The side effects can be stomach issues in the beginning but I no longer have that and there are no sexual side effects. In fact some people report it helps their drive more. The difference between this drug and all the other SSRI’s is that it hits different receptors. It’s an atypical antidepressant. The only downside is the cost. It’s still on patent which means there is no generic formula so if you do not have insurance the cost can be a lot for some. I have insurance and my copay with insurance is $50. The most I’ve ever paid as a copay for a med. but the way I feel now I would still pay it. It’s been a game changer for me.

This same side effect happened with me with fluvoxamine where when they continued to increase the dose, I felt tired. I switched to Fluvoxamine extended release which is the same formulated medication but it’s given only at night so that it won’t make you tired throughout the day! It worked great!
