Question
I don’t know if this is skin picking, or hair picking. I pick and scrape the skin off of my toes, but I also dig into my legs to pull out a hair. Just needing some advice

@Bigotina No I moisturize every night. And for my legs I purposefully yank skin off of my legs and then pull a hair out

@Bigotina Don’t have one. I got discharged from therapy about a year ago. I’ll see what I can do.
@Bigotina Yeah no I do all of these things. I just wanted to know if it was skin picking or hair picking. I’ve tried everything I just can’t seem to figure out how to get myself to stop. I’m not worrying about it I’m just confused cause I don’t know where it falls. I appreciate your help tho. I really do. And my therapist discharged me cause I was fine and able to live again. Bittersweet moment cause I loved her but still ☺️
I’m having some trouble believing that reducing skin picking is really achievable. It’s been part of my life for a long time. Is it really possible to get it under control?
Does anyone else struggle with constantlyyyy pulling on a couple or a single strand of your hair? I do it mindlessly but it’s ALL DAY LONG and I’m so worried my hair is thinning from this or it’s becoming damaged. Anyone have any tips on how to stop?
Does anyone have any good tips on how to reduce the urge to pick your skin? I wasn’t aware that this was something often associated with OCD until my therapist told me about it. I regularly engage in skin picking especially on my face and it has made my acne even worse and lead to scarring. I don’t want to continue doing it but sometimes I just do it without even realizing I’m doing it.
