Anyone deal with sexual thoughts regarding family members? Makes me sick. I know it’s OCD and I’m constantly trying to remind myself I’ve been here with other content before but it’s so disturbing. Also has anyone had past themes resurface again? Thank you in advance to whoever shares.
Yes. Lately I’ve had it regarding other people and their family members due to something that triggered it and it makes me feel so sick. You aren’t alone, just try to remind yourself that everyone has these thoughts sometimes, but us folks with OCD tend to cling on to it. You aren’t perverted for thinking them.
@Anonymous243 Sometimes it’s so graphic that I start crying and feeling so uncomfortable. It’s like an actual image.
@Anonymous 25# Me too. :(. This actually happened to me this morning, and it was so overwhelming I just couldn’t stop thinking about it. On days that are a little less stressful, sometimes it helps when I just tell the ocd “well that’s kinda gross!” Or “that’s weird, no thank you!” And do my best to move on. :/
Yes.. I've had something similar...it's a terrible feeling and makes you feel sick. You aren't alone. Sorry this is happening to you. Someone mentioned challenging them. Or making fun of them. That might help
Also, I have had past themes resurface too! It just happened this weekend and this week has been really hard. It can definitely make you feel like you’re taking a step back but I’m trying to remind myself that it’s gone away before so its possible for me to get through it again. I hope things get better for you, you got this.

@Anonymous 25# I get images too but I challenge the ocd I go okay bet that’s so funny that u say that I’m not in some cult or something wow u really tried to get me there or use humor like that to brush it off. I tried just ignoring them but it just made it worse when I was with my partner and so I found using humor totally disrupts the ocd and catches off guard

Need some advice here as I feel like such a sick twisted person..I feel like I may have sexual intrusive thoughts ocd but sometimes I think it’s just me and my twisted brain- intrusive thoughts about my family members has turned into pedophilia ocd and what makes it worse is that I work with children. Lately I’ve been seeing sexual intrusive images of me sexually abusing young children normally male, and I am obviously distressed by them and I would never act on that but it makes me feel like I would actually do that cause of the feeling I would get and it’s all so confusing and scary cause I would never do that to a child. Please someone help that has maybe been through a similar experience?
