Does anyone else feel like your OCD goes after everything that’s important or precious to you? Like if you have a dear memory of something, your mind will try to tell you why that’s wrong or bad even when you know it’s something perfectly pure and a happy memory. I feel so beat up by this illness.. it steals my joy. Only Jesus can help me, only he knows just how bad this torment in my head is.
I completely get this I suffer exactly the same way, and it kills me. You got this tho, it can only get better, I wish u all the best and hope you can find happiness soon🩷
This is something that I personally find helpful. By being more indifferent towards most things OCD has a reduced hold on me . When the brain notices this indifference it by far and large will create less obsessions and compulsions. God bless you !✝️🙏

I’d say, in terms of my experience of this exact situation, you have to do the very thing that feels most foreign/wrong to you, which is come at it with a maybe/maybe not mentality. It will try harder and get louder but should hopefully eventually ease down over time. Good luck
That’s exactly what OCD does because m, think on it… why would you obsess over something or someone you risky DON’T care about?

I'm feeling so upset today because OCD keeps stealing my joy and my peace. When I'm having a good moment or good day, I feel like there's only a short time before the what ifs start to throw me off. I just want to be happy
My OCD makes me doubt my faith & God! It also makes me doubt myself, my values and literally everything! Makes me even doubt if this is OCD! I love God & Jesus! I know I gave my life to Him! Being reborn! I’ve seen the changes! It hurts to have these thoughts & feelings of doubt! I know it says OCD attacks what you care about the most! I’ve been having this for 6 months. It started as a thought of “is God real” now it’s like my mind has interrogated me over & over again making me question everything! Yelling accusations at me! Telling me I don’t “believe enough” or “maybe I don’t believe” or “I don’t love Him” and just stuff like that & I hate it! Sometimes whenever I think about it to much it gets so confusing or I need to “fix it”! I want faith & belief and I refuse to give up! I know I’m very hard on myself & I try to remind myself this isn’t a Faith problem but an OCD problem but my OCD tries to make me doubt that! Logic & OCD don’t mix. Has anyone gone through this? Please any advice?
