I want to find the off switch, my brain is so determined to convince me of things that are just not true. But I just don't understand, I know deep down they're not true.. so why am I so desperate to prove it? I'm literally at my wits end
The thoughts are irrational. You know the truth. When OCD tells you something, try going "Yeah, OK, so what". Trying to prove anything prolongs it. I know it isn't easy. But go with it for quicker recovery.
Been feeling the same until I just laugh at anything my mind latches on that is associated with my subtype
I feel like a lot of it is the environment you are in. If I am constantly being told I can't do something, my OCD will join my dissenters. Try to find a support group that won't reassure you but push you to conquer your OCD fears
I'm now obsessed with the idea that I'm somehow repressing my true sexuality and that I have to "accept it", but the acceptance part isn't real acceptance it's digging and prying at my brain and trying to find proof that I'm a lesbian, when I know in reality that I'm not. My brain literally feel like it's going on a witch hunt and destroying everything in it's path. What do I do? I wish I had a better way to put this into words, but I'm really bad at that.
I literally feel like I’m at war with my head constantly. Like the rational side of me fights SO hard to counteract my ocd thoughts and to tell myself no that’s unlikely/impossible/crazy but the ocd side always always wins :( people just don’t get it
