Does anyone on here struggle with same extreme urge to pick their face because in doing so they feel like it keeps it cleaner? I feel alone in this and upset

I now pick my skin so much that I do not realize it. You are not alone in this! They suggested me to buy a fidgeting toy to avoid doing it and to use the toy every time I feel the urge to pick my skin
I am right here with you. I started this month with a chart, and I mark off every day I don’t pick my face or skin. But it’s so hard. If I see a bump, I’m obviously going to want to pop it. So far, I’ve only had 1 day without picking. It’s crazy how just minutes in front of the mirror ruins my face for weeks after, or a little pick causes a bloody scab. The guilt and shame sets in. Just letting you know, I’m right here with you :( I’m trying to cover up my mirrors, and ONLY allowing myself to touch my face right after I wash it. I’ve tried buying picking pads, to pick at instead of my skin. Lately, when I feel that urge to pick at something, I instead take out a piece of paper and just start scribbling on it. Hardcore scribbling. It sounds silly, but just moving my hand around the paper with a pen releases something that makes the urge to pick less urgent. But man, I feel alone too and embarrassed.
Does anyone have suggestions on how to stop picking at their scalp?
when I watch my sister and she does something around her lips, I don't know why she has this habit of touching them and scratching them, I feel that it attracts me or excites me. I don't really know how it stops..if it stops..if it's ocd...I can't spend normal time anymore…I am alone in this..?!
I’m having some trouble believing that reducing skin picking is really achievable. It’s been part of my life for a long time. Is it really possible to get it under control?
