Is it possible for your ancestors to curse you??? I keep getting intrusive thoughts about my relative that passed away and my thoughts are saying that they’re gonna curse me with one of my biggest fears. I’m so terrified right now. What if these thoughts were to actually come true..??!!!
This is just OCD. Who knows if what you’re afraid of is possible or not— there’s no way to know. But not knowing isn’t going to hurt you. OCD is never about the content, it could be fear of ancestors today and a different fear tomorrow. The problem is the fear of uncertainty! And luckily that’s very solvable even though it’s scary. Embrace the uncertainty and sit with the discomfort. I highly recommend doing ERP with a therapist and working on embracing discomfort and uncertainty— it’s changed my life and now I welcome uncertainty!
this is ocd and definitely some misconcepted thinking! i dont want to reassure you, but so you have the information; as someone who practices and has friends that work in this realm of spirituality, it’s way way more different and complicated than that and something that you seek out a certain way!! so even tho it’s scary, push through it, it’s thoughts. perhaps journal and identify what it actually is that you’re afraid of and maybe even what has triggered you or constructed this fear. practice some erp with the root of your fear and you’ll do great!!

@Justagirla It’s not possible. Some spiritual people or religions may make claims like this, but they aren’t based on evidence…In other words there are tons of people who doubt this is possible.
@Justagirla what this says^^ there are tons of systems of beliefs and even people within them that doubt. ocd loves the possible and not the probable!
@Justagirla nono, that’s not what i’m trying to convey! what i’m saying is that those are based on systems of beliefs where even the people within them have doubts!! ocd loves to latch on to taboo beliefs and ideas, again erp+understanding the root=golden
Has anyone thought about something and have it come true? So for instance I thought about suicide and then one of my cousins committed suicide. I Think about something bad and then next thing I know it happens to me or someone I know. Now I'm having such bad anxiety about all these bad things that may happen to me and my family that I obsess over it causing me to extensively pray. It's exhausting and idk what to do or how to control it. I feel like every thought has or will come true that I'm having a hard time.
I keep randomly getting scary evil/ demonic images or thoughts in my head. I can’t specifically describe how or what they are but I just feel scared & unsettled I feel like I’m possessed or that a devil is controlling my mind or something! I’m catholic I haven’t really been that religious but I’ve been so scared that I started praying to feel better and I feel like I need to pray to make whatever this is go away. I never believed in possession I’m more of a scientific based person however I’ve reached the point where my beliefs aren’t firm anymore I feel scared I don’t know what to believe it’s like I’m slowly believing my mind is being controlled I’m scared :( is something severely wrong with me? Is possession / devils real? Do I have a severe mental illness am I going crazy / developing psychosis or becoming delusional?? :(
Woke up this morning immediately looking for the thoughts that I’ve been having even though i don’t want to think about them. I feel like i ended up bringing them upon myself and then i had a super gruesome thought and have been worrying about it all morning. Is it possible to bring thoughts upon yourself? Is it ocd or is it just me? I’m just so scared of going “crazy” that i keep looking for thoughts deciding if it’s me or not if you know what i mean. It’s such a scary feeling When you feel like you don’t know who you are 😭 i literally am just petrified of completely losing sense of who i am and doing something bad and being locked away forever. Is it possible to just turn bad? Does anybody know what i mean by that? Like you secretly have a double ego and completely turn into somebody different? Does anyone else experience this? Is it ocd? I’m so scared i feel like i can never catch a break.
