I'm planning to take Prozac medication for my OCD. How is it for all of you? What side effects did you get? What's the worst that could happen when taking it? I was told diarrhea, suicidal thoughts, and upset stomachs were the worst that could happen. I'm a little scared of the side effects but I still want to take them soon.
I have just started taking prozac and I haven’t had any side effects. But everyone is different.
I was very worried about it too when I started it, I’ve been on it for 2 years now and it’s the best one that’s worked for me. The most of my side effects was just bad headaches the first couple of days but that’s about it

That sounds very manageable. I've had chronic headaches because of OCD in the first place. Did you take Advil to remove the headaches or did you wait until you were able to go to sleep?
@BigGyro09 I would just take some over the counter medicine, that usually helps
I have a question about Prozac or other SSRIs. So I definitely showed some OCD symptoms before taking Prozac (especially in regard to health obsessions), but after I took Prozac, the really terrible thoughts came in. Did anyone else experience this when taking Prozac? I’m off of them now (for over a year) but after a lot of work I STILL have residual thoughts from it.
Does anyone have experience of fluoxetine for OCD? I know someone who is on it for anxiety and it’s made a huge difference so far, and I think I’d like to give it a go but I’d just be interested in hearing others’ experiences. I also have emetophobia so the side effects of nausea is putting me off a little.
Reviews on Prozac for OCD? My psychiatrist said she’s found Prozac works best for OCD but I’m curious what people who have taken it think
