I feel like I'm constantly thinking about the same sex. Feeling in my backside is driving me nuts š. And I've met this girl I like and I feel guilty as hell because I feel like I'm hiding something. I really like her but how can carry this on if I'm having these thoughts. I had these thoughts before a met her. Please help someone š¢

@Ihateocd83 - So, actually, the theme of OCD- be it ROCD, HOCD, SOOCD,POCD, none of them actually matter because they are all treated the same. OCD latches to whatever is important to us. iv had ROCD and HOCD and POCD and even somatic OCD ( iv felt unwanted body urgers and hyperawareness of normal body functions) BUT they are ALL treated with ERP and I take medication which really helps me be able to do ERP. i have not had SOOCD no but my sexualy orientation is not that important to me ( it is to you and that's good) really read that article, don't blow it off. it will give you answers I promise.
I first got this when I was 23 I'm 41 now and I'm like what if my sexuality has changed completely overtimeš. Obviously having men in my head and these feelings is worrying because I've never had these feelings before

The fact that you feel you are hiding something is apart what is called a guilt confession compulsion. OCD gives you intrusive thoughts then the compulsion becomes that you have to confess the thoughts and tell everyone about them to be free of them or else you are āhiding somethingā. This is a compulsion that for me was really hard to come out of. I felt I had to come out as same sex attracted because I was struggling with SOOOCD, but I didnāt know thatās what it was at the time. I consistently felt this anxiety that I have to tell everyone and become open about these thoughts Iām having or else Iām not being my true self or that Iām hiding something about myself. And the thing is, is Iām not gay or Bi. I like girls and am attracted to women and want to be married. But my sexuality became an obsession because of what others thought of me and what others said about me, that OCD latched on to that and convinced me I was same sex attracted because of intrusive thoughts. Just cuz you have a thought doesnāt mean your gay or bi or same sex attracted. OCD is a liar haha
Nothing seems to help me. You wouldn't believe how much I was into women I'm afraid I'll never like women like I once did š. All I seem to think about is men and I hate it. But I still check women out etc. It's been this bad for 4 years

Iām constantly thinking about hocd thoughts. What if Iām gay? What if you like her? Blah blah things like that, I canāt tell if itās ocd anymore. Like deep down I know, and some days I know all the time Iām straight. I donāt like girls, I never have. So why canāt I just get it through my head? Iām tired of it. I literally canāt tell anymore
So on my fourth anniversary I told my gf I had HOCD. Sheās bi and all and we discussed about the gay thoughts and the things that have been roaming through my head and I told that these were intrusive thoughts. She told me about her trying not to come out to her homophobic step dad and all that and it got me worried too! It made me start to think maybe thatās what it was all along but I called myself down as much as I can. She gave me an example of how a women checked her out when she was in the bathroom in college and I thought to myself āI do that to with the women I look atā during our time I didnāt want her to think I was gonna leave or ima turn gay or something like that cause I know itās not how it works. I just donāt want her to think Iām gonna leave for some dude or just leave in general. I donāt want her to develop things to ruin our relationship and I donāt want it to happen to me either ): this is really hell on earth and Iām gonna seek help when I get the chance. Every time I think Iām doing great my mind thinks āyeah Iām gayā or āyouāre in denialā and every time I think of a friend and things like that it goes to some really intrusive and explicit thoughts that I wonāt say here and it made me uncomfortable to the point where I now feel nauseous. Though itās self diagnosed knowing more about HOCD makes it more clear to what I have I just donāt want her to think itās all made up! My brain tells me that just because of what I did when I was in kindergarten with another boy (which was an innocent kiss) I didnāt know what was going on and it makes me uncomfortable and makes my brain think Iām in denial. I try to tell myself that the things Iāve done in the past shouldnāt be reflected with what I do now. But I just want this to be over I want to be happy with my girlfriend and make her feel as great as she makes me. But I feel so guilty having these thoughts I just with I t was over. Iām happy sheās here to support me but I donāt want her to think of it all in the wrong was I just want her to know Iām going through something completely different then what she went through. Iām gonna do better not just for her but for myself too!
My hocd feels so real like every time i see a girl my eyes automatically goes to their tits or ass and it stresses me out and I sometimes get these intrusive thoughts out of nowhere saying āif you u really like girls then youāll have to leave you bfā orr I get these images of being with a girl and all sorts of things there are many more but I canāt seem ti remember at the moment Iām sure they will come back to me but it feels so real sometimes I think is this true do I like girls as well?
