I’m so scared

I’m literally freaking out.I had made a post about this before but I met this man months ago and after I got home from seeing each other,this video on TikTok popped up saying “God says don’t be with this man,he’s going to give you HIV” etc. I’ve been having this fear since that day I first experienced things but no vag intercourse.and then last night I had a dream of the video and the man is wanting to see me tonight and we haven’t seen each other in monthss so I still think about him here and there and miss him. What does this mean? Should I gout with him or no? I feel like I’m going to have a panic attack. STDs scare me.just hearing about stds just terrify me.please help!!

@Abree clarey I suggest in person because you can really gauge their reaction. If you are thinking about sex you and your partner need to be comfortable with each other and that means having the uncomfortable conversations. STIs are seen as very taboo in today’s culture but it’s very normal to talk about and be on the same page.

@Abree clarey It is very hard not to worry so I’m not going to tell you not to but you cannot control how he thinks or feels when the subject is brought up. A lot of people are shocked because STIs are not talked about enough. They should be normalized because everytime you open up to someone in that way you are opening yourself to getting whatever they or whoever they have been with had. Don’t let that scare you, take precautions and have the conversation before engaging in anything. You are protecting yourself. Don’t feel embarrassing, feel empowered that you are taking yourself, your body, and your health into your own hands

Terrified partner will think I’ve cheated

I don’t know what to do I’ve been seeing this guy for roughly 4-5 months and I like him so much like he could be the one. He was in town for something for most of the time we’ve been seeing each other but he recently moved back to his state which is pretty far away. I’m absolutely terrified that I’m going to accidentally get an STD from somewhere like a toilet seat or the other day after taking the bus home I forgot to wash or sanitize my hands before wiping plus I’ve had coworkers and even my roommate admit that they’ve had chlamydia and one has HSV. I’m terrified that I’ll get something and he’ll think I cheated and we’ve both been hurt like that before and I wouldn’t want to put him through that or have him think that of me. I’ve been trying to not google anything or go to the doctors bc those are my compulsion and reassurance seeking things but nothing is helping it’s to the point I don’t want to use the bathroom or do anything does anyone have any tips to help it’s starting to effect my life I know this isn’t possible but I keep thinking it would just be my luck that I’d the odd one out it does happen to

Fear of HIV again!!!

This fear keeps coming back and it’s to the point I cry and what to panic. I no longer talk to the man simply because I wanted to move on and find something meaningful to have with someone (relationship wise). I still keep fearing I need to go get my blood checked. Thoughts like “what if I have it and don’t know it and give to someone?” “What if that urine test I took months ago didn’t work” I got tested for stds but it came back negative. They took a urine test but google says you have to have your blood drawn!! I’m so scared. My mind tells me “you have HIV” and then a sense of peace comes and scares me even more!!!

Avoidance attachment fear

I’ve been seeing tons and tons of videos about avoidant attachments on TikTok a lot! And lieterally all day I was overthinking and crying. I’m not sure if I have avoidance attachment I never got deeper into the meaning of it until yesterday and I’ve seen so many comments about it. I’m starting to think what if I’m one? Is I am how do I change? I fear relationships, I am very independent and will only ask for help if needed. This God at my job likes me and I like the way he acts and he wants a relationship which I’ve already made a few post about him. When we went to church the second time I held his hands and hugged him but I still doubted his looks . He’s not ugly but I don’t think he’s my type so I apologized for holding his hands because I don’t want to lead him on. I have prayed multiple prayers if he’s the one for me. After seeing those avoidant attachment videos I’m afraid I act this way toward the guy that likes me. Then when I ask myself “well do you like him” I get filled with anxiety. I’m not rushing in a relationship but I want to love someone not just someone loving me. Please tell me someone understands.?
