Do you experience multiple OCD themes?
Talking about different OCD themes and subtypes can aid with self-compassion and self-understanding. However, it's also important to know that OCD isn't really about the theme or subtype: it's more about the way we react to the thoughts that bother us than the thoughts themselves. Something that may confuse many of us with OCD is the experience of changing or co-occurring OCD themes; you might experience multiple themes that make one another feel much worse and more “real,” you might experience two simultaneous subtypes focusing on different topics, or you might feel like your theme keeps changing the moment you stop worrying about your previous theme.
