Constant Reassurance Makes OCD Worse
It can be tempting to seek reassurance whenever you experience a spike in your OCD symptoms and anxiety levels—and receiving reassurance can feel good (temporarily). Ultimately, however, reassurance-seeking keeps you stuck in the OCD cycle, and often ends up reinforcing your symptoms and increasing your anxiety levels in the long run, despite any temporary relief it might provide.
