Anxiety

I had an allergic reaction to medicine 2 years ago that caused heart palpitations. I went to the ER and they did ECG and blood tests. All were normal. Over the past 2 years it's caused major anxiety and I've been to the ER several times..3 more ECGs and more blood tests. All showing my heart is fine. Should I trust that if I had a heart problem it would show and believe in my doctors? If I had a heart problem it would show? Want to be sure it's anxiety and not a heart problem.

I have medication anxiety and I’ve had this happen before almost exactly. I had to check I didn’t write this lol. However I’m not sure anymore it had anything to do with the medication at the time and more so my anxiety. What medication was it? If it had a stimulant in it that might have been your answer.

@Nicolebee However if it isn’t a medical issue, then it is OCD and we can concur that differently. First I would say rule out medical issues! Let me know

It was an Allergy medicine. It was my first time taking it and it caused bad palpitations. After it was out my system, I kept telling myself that because I had heart palpitations from the reaction that something is wrong with my heart or I could have a problem with my heart and since then I've had a constant fear..which causes palpitations and panic attacks.

Any chance it was Flonase? Which medication. I only ask because a lot of allergy pills have stimulant reactions.

Health ocd is really bad today

Hi everyone. I take hydroxyzine 50 mg every night for anxiety for about five months. I’ve been experiencing at least one heart palpitation a day so of course I went down my googling spiral and saw people say it gave them cardiac arrest? I’m only 19 but I’m so so scared. Please someone help me.

Heart

I went to take my heart rate and bp at the store and the pharmacist said i should go to a doctor because my heart rate was really high and wouldnt go down. I haven't had time yet and im at the grocery store rn and my heart is beating lile crazy for no reason and im so scared. Ive had ekgs before and other tests and there was nothing wrong

Health ocd obsessed over heart/lung related issues

I have gotten maybe about 8 EKG’s within the lest 2 years? I’ve also gotten an echo done, and I got a heart monitor to track my heart over the course of maybe 2 weeks, back last year. Even though I have been to the emergency room so many times because of panic attacks that I thought were heart attacks, and went with a Cardiologist I still obsess and worry. I always think that I am going to develop some kind of heart problem after getting the tests done. Like if they’re just suddenly going to appear/my heart will suddenly have an issue. I especially get nervous when the pain is in the center of my chest + I get a tight feeling like I have pressure on my chest and can’t breathe completely. Please someone share their experience of how they controlled their health anxiety, especially if it’s related to this.
