Yes, by reacting you are confirming that these fears are real....it's like a hungry monster the more you feed it the stronger it grows, if you remove it's food it will grow weak and eventually die.

The repeated actions are a direct result of you rehearsing them that they become the norm, but in reality there not, they are a lie sold to you on a promise by OCD, to help you, but by listening to OCD all it does is keep us deeper in the grip of ocd

You are not alone ! I’m so sorry you can’t afford therapy but you can try some exposure exercice by yourself with this app! I hope you will get better soon and we understand you, you are definitely not insane and not alone ?be brave I send you a lot of positive vibes !!

Ocd is a brain disorder. It isn't something that can be forcefully stopped. That isn't how it works. I'm sorry your parents said that to you but you aren't suffering alone. I'm here if you ever need to talk.

Thand you .. i just don't know how to stop thinking about bad things it kills me and I can't talk to anyone about it

@Bellahina Here is what my therapist said to me. Don’t try to push away the thoughts but accept the incertitude “Maybe......I won’t know”, or to trigger yourself and try to NOT do any compulsion for like 10 minutes, and then you will observe that the anxiety is less important with the time ! She told me to have a journal where I can write my fear, and scariest thoughts everyday and it helps me a lot : on the paper the thoughts seems less scary and helps me to indentify compulsion and triggers! I hope it helps you !

I'm so sorry to hear that :( I pray things improve things you can do is your own erp. You start small with the things that scare you and work your way to the top. I'm starting to do that. It isn't easy but you're stronger than you know. It is okay if sometimes you give into compulsions. We all struggle and go through this but just get right back up again and back to doing exposures.

All reassurance and compulsions have to stop or be delayed at the very least, never react to OCD when your anxiety is at its peak you will be stuck and n a never ending loop, you have to except the anxiety to retrain your brain and show it this is normal to have these feelings....we cannot control everything every second of every day, sometimes we have to let fate decide....by continually doing reassurance and compulsions you are buying into the lies OCD feeds you

I've been reading about this for long time but you keep saying things I've never read before and all of them are really accurate just like you're reading my mind and know exactly what are the things I've not notice until now !! Thank you !!
