What is everyone’s funny phobia … no I don’t mean in a like post it and we will judge you sorta way I mean like unique and usually not heard of obviously if it’s too distressing don’t post it but I was just curious… mine is the big blocky cctv security cameras that you see at like Walmart or Kroger etc but at the same time it’s funny because it’s such a strange thing to make someone feel anxious or in a sense scared

@Blueberrycows Fear and emotions have funny ways of presenting themselves in our minds. I believe its a type of claustrophobia/ agoraphobia related fear.

@Blueberrycows You can call me what you want. I know there's no ill intent so I don't mind. I had a previous username called invalid as the ones I usually want are invalid usernames 😅 a girl on here suggested I changed it. I had a dream years ago that felt as if it was a message. She suggested wolfram based on that dream, and I like it. Also, wolfram is now a creature in the books I'm writing that resemble something 🤫 I'm not around as much because I have been experiencing what some would call a kundalini awakening and it's weird. I've potentially learned more in the past few months than I have in the 10 previous years. I'm just not putting the knowledge into practice, and every expert is saying to ground myself, every single one. So I need to practice that for a bit, slow down and try apply what I've learned instead of acquiring more information all the time. Knowledge is fantasy without application. So this is why I've been less active. Everything I knew is seen differently now and I'm struggling to deal with it on my own. I've been looking for a teacher or guide or whatever I can to help because it's terrifying when your third eye opens as much as mine did, without knowing wtf is happening 😂

When leaving my house & "checking " everything..I have to check before I can leave...I now take pics...of everything I check (for XTRA reassurance) ...& then have to delete all the pics when I get home...so I can start again the next day !! ...very time consuming...
@Anonymous I don’t have the checking and rechecking thing … but my phone is full of screenshots for various reasons … one of the reasons is so I know I don’t share too much identifying information or so I know anything I have said can’t be twisted or turned into something I haven’t its( proof) among many other reasons😂

I dont know if this counts, but I have a sort of fear/ick of smelling a bad smell that will make me sick, especially food related smells. Like I don't like the smell of certain condiments/Sauces and I always gag when I'm smell them, so now I avoid looking at these Sauces because it just make me ill looking at them. I avoid scraping left over food from my plate into the bin (you know before you wash it in the sink), my mum has to do it for me because one time i smelt something in the bin and nearly threw up. After that even If I couldn't smell it the very action of putting food in the bin made me gag. I avoid so many situations because of this. Its so ridiculous and think I will be over it sometime in the future hopefully.

I’ve had many types of OCD, but I gained control over them over the years, but a new one has started to arise. Do y’all ever have scary thoughts about something you might do? Recently I’ll get extremely uncomfortable no matter where I am because I can’t stop thinking about “what if I screamed really loud in my lecture class tomorrow?” And other stupid stuff like that. Also, this one is kind of funny, but sometimes when I use the bathroom I pause before because I think “what if I’m actually in class right now?” I also cannot control the thoughts about past embarrassing moments. I know everyone does, but I will become visibly uncomfortable and harp on something from years ago. This happens all throughout the day. Also, does anyone else do things that resemble tics when you get these thoughts. Like when they happen I’ll curse under my breath or like jerk my head a little bit. When I’m in public I keep it low key but when I’m alone sometimes I’ll physically get up and pace or something when those thoughts happen. Just curious if anyone has had these experiences
How do any of you guys deal with OCD that’s latched on to something real? I don’t mean real event OCD but a real thing?
Does anyone experience ocd really bad with posts they see online? I just saw a post just now about someone who said they’ve come to terms with dying in their early twenties, and it popped up on my Instagram for you page and i panicked. I’m 20 myself and posts like this genuinely scare me because I always think “It’s a sign or there is a reason it’s popping up on my page.” Has anyone dealt with this before or had an instance like this? Especially with those posts that say if you don’t share or like it something bad will happen, it genuinely freaks me out and I love instagram.
