Imagine yourself being a tank, with really strong armor embracing you. Outside of that tank there is a battle happening, which is OCD and intrusive thoughts. You Will be the Winner, just continue working hard every Moment of every day.

Sometimes it's hard to see past the thoughts but I appreciate your words. Definitely helped me back seeing I can do this

For me the key is to accept and acknowledge the thought whatever it is or whatever happens in the mental image. Exaggerate it, and continue doing constant ERP. Remember that OCD is ego-dystonic, meaning that it doesn't matter how graphic the thought is, it doesn't define You.

I'm only doing an online cbt course but it hasn't started yet. Even if the thought is "I want to do this" or i wish i could do this is it still part of the ocd. I know i dont want to but sometimes when it's a thought of me saying it I get so paranoid that maybe this is the real me

@ScarlettA Mainly pocd but they havent told me that's what it was they just said it was ocd. I also get it with past events with stuff I've done or said but I'm figuring out whether its ocd or just me feeling guilty. Wby

@ScarlettA Mine did too. I feel like I'm questioning everything I do everything i say everything I've ever done. Are you trying any therapy or have you talked to anyone?

@ScarlettA I read a lot aswell probably too much and made myself worse. I talked to advisors and doctors who said I had severe paranoia. And then I signed up for online cbt who talked to me and said it was ocd. So I should be starting that in a few weeks until I see a psychiatrist in december. It's just a waiting game

@ScarlettA They have to find what's best and if you try it and it doesnt work theres loads of other options but think positively that it could help you. I dont think they want to put me on medication bc of previous use of substances.

@ScarlettA Yeah I'm trying to stay on the right track. Meditation helps me a lot but sometimes we always have those setbacks. Headspace is something I use all the time but I'll definitely give the Jonathan grayson one a try. Thankyou :)

@ScarlettA It's a difficult thing but I find anything but water and juice makes me anxious now. Do you still struggle with it if you dont mind me asking?

That is the tricky part...how? How do you just accept and not judge a thought that disturbs and disgusts you?

Everyone says use mindfulness. All I do know is that the more you fight it,the stronger it gets.

I try to I practice mindfulness but I sometimes it's hard to accept it as a thought and refocus especially when it sounds like it's me saying I want to do the things. If it goes "I wanna do this or do that" I just wanna go back to my regular thought process:(
