When i do the compulsion of checking if i want my bf or a girl it always makes me feel like with my bf i cant kiss 1nd then i am like this is because of ocd but when i then think about kissing a woman it feels like it would go easy , shouldnt the compulsion bring me peace like bad reassurance ? Does this mean i am not into men , it feels way to similar ,like my intrusive thoughts are like normal thoughts
in my opinion lovely, the fact that your getting stressed about it is ocd giving you the compulsion of “but what if you aren’t into men” feelings are not facts when it comes to ocd
I hope so ! I am just so tired sometimes of doing the same thing over and over again
@Annoying_OCD yes lovely, i’ve dealt with this subtype as well as the more taboo about even people close to me. one thing i remeber to tell myself DAILY is that i am not my thoughts. another thing to remember is when you have these horrible ocd thoughts your body may react in a way you don’t want too but that doenst mean you like it it’s just sometimes our bodies naturally react to something before our brain can seperate wrong from right. one thing try not to“check” for body signals as that’s a compulsion and sometimes when we search for things like that we might bring them on by thinking too much about it. when it comes to ocd just remember your thoughts and feelings are not you, your authentic self is not here right now it’s being clouded by your ocd. you’ve got this , i understand, it’s so difficult and draining but just keep trying, it’s okay to fail sometimes just remember to use phrases like “okay ocd maybe i do feel that way maybe i don’t”
@Mags2002 trust me i feel you. we have got this. just remember you have ocd because you love your partner so much and let ocd be a reminder of that
@Annoying_OCD think of it as a wave passing by , notice the thought and label it “ah there’s my ocd talking again” and gently shift your attention to something else , for example : colouring, watching your favourite tv show, playing a game ❤️
@Annoying_OCD i can see your seeeking assurance and if i give that to you it strengthens the ocd. just remember, you might feel like you want it but feelings are not facts when it comes to ocd. just label it as ocd and let the thought just be there but pay not attention to it. you’ve got this beautiful

So I’ve SOOCD since I was in 8 th grade and it got really bad when I had an intrusive thought as to what if I was bi. And ever since then I’ve had self destructive behavior to where I would think the thoughts on purpose or about women and checking them out and flirting with them. ( I identify as straight) and over time these thoughts and self destructive behavior hasn’t bothered me and now they feel apart of me I know apart of it is ocd but also it’s me like me willingly looking at women and me wanting to have sexual thoughts or feel aroused and in reality if I never had ocd I would never think this way I could live without women and never sleeping with them I do have a bf and I love him and am attracted to him rn thought bc of what happened last night with a women it’s hard to feel that can anyone relate?
So my whole life I’ve been heterosexual. I have got hocd so I worry I’m a lesbian when I have no reason to worry about it because im straight ( not that my ocd likes to think that tho lol! ). But there’s this thought I have, How do I know I’m 100% straight if I haven’t tried sleeping with a girl? Bear in mind I’ve NEVER WANTED TO and DONT want too. Hence why it is an INTRUSIVE thought. But the thought is so uncomfortable- I can’t seem to shift it. But i do see that THIS IS OCD & wanting to know for certain. Thats the definition of OCD. I do know that but it’s tough with the stupid doubts!!! Do you guys just live with the unknown / uncertainty. I’m so happy and love my boyfriend and only want to be with him etc. Let me say again, I DONT want to sleep with a girl nor have I ever fantasized about it. But why does ocd want 100% certainty.. I just wanna not have that weird niggling thought.
I really dont know if it is ocd anymore I dont want certain sexual things with my bf anymore that i used to like When i envision it with a girl it is so easy to envision and it feels like i want that , that will give me the satisfaction This feeling is making me really question if i am still into men , desire men sexually Is this still ocd , i really dont know anymore , as it is a feeling it is too real
