Just right OCD
Hey guys just wondering if anyone suffers from this type of OCD. I feel a big struggle to even begin things because it doesn’t feel right or if I resume things it doesn’t feel right. Anyone have any advice ? Thank you

I can totally relate to this. Are you working with an OCD therapist? They can design ERP exercises for you. For example, I could never finish a book because I would reread and reread thinking I’d missed something or if I’d put the book down for a time I’d have to start from the beginning again. My therapist assigned me to read just 5 pages per day without going back, which was much more doable.
Thank you for sharing your experience. That persistent feeling that something isn't 'just right' can be exhausting and truly interfere with daily life, which is characteristic of how OCD can manifest. Recognizing this pattern is an important step. Help is here at NOCD and we can assist you in finding outside help if needed too. I have pure ocd i think , i always gotta make sure i do certain things like tap things , light switches on n off , shut things few times and re open them till it feels right . Walk in a room go back out and back in out in in till my mind is right Its exhausting
That feeling of "incompleteness" or that something isn’t quite right can be unbearable. What’s one daily task that OCD makes harder because it never feels 'just right'?
I’ve been my job for almost 2 years now and I can not shake the constant worry that I am going to do something to mess it up. I’m constantly checking things over and over to make sure they’re correct to the point where I almost don’t believe my own eyes anymore. Everyday I go home with something to be anxious about. Today me and a coworker got in a bit of a tiff and I can’t stop thinking about it (even though I was totally right to be upset 🤣) everyday I play out fake scenarios that may happen because of what I said or did. Occasionally I will worry if I had written something inappropriate on the work I turn in. There’s no amount of reassurance that can make me stop worrying and I’m not sure what to do anymore. I’m new here and would love some suggestions!
