My girlfriend broke up with me And I am very hurt, just felt like telling y'all, it's been almost a month since we broke up but still hurts like it was yesterday I loved her so much and I'm pretty sure I loved her more. I don't think I will ever stop loving her 😭😭

Aw I understand… I’m going through the same thing with my bf. He did it through text. Sometimes these things are for the better. Focus on giving yourself the love that you give others.
Yeah, I'm trying to better myself, but stress makes it so hard, and honestly I'm trying to move on but I've heard people say this and I've talked to people, once you love someone you will never unlove them it's just the next one will be even greater, but you still won't forget your first one
Look it will hurt for more months but try to work on. Reality Like. Would you EVER left her even is she did i dont know what (okay ANYTHING BUT CHEATING) BUT ANYTHING ELSE, if the answer is No Then you should relax And start realize that you idealized her and made ilusion of her, that she is something which she obviously AINT!
Idk she wanted me first, for years but I never wanted to date because we were friends for so long, then we finally did, and she was amazing, but I put more into the relationship than she did, and I loved her a lot. Still do, and I never idealized her I've know her for almost a decade and my love for her just got stronger once we started dating. So yeah it's gonna hurt, because she wanted me first and then she ignored me and acted like I didn't exist, so basically she just gave up on me and it makes me feel like my love wasn't good enough
@Jesuslover28 When i said idealized I meant Like she is someone who will never do this never left you never rtc etc And now you realise that you were wrong So start from there If everything is true what you said Brother It s even better that she is gone Because Why would you be with someone who can leave you and you didn cheat or punch her or something
@Mrcino 1408 Yeah it's just we talked about our future how we where gonna raise our kids, but idk maybe it wasnt right. I mean I did pray about it and we broke up not to long after. So God clearly seen something I didn't. But its just love is amazing except when it hurts. But I would never cheat on a girl because I'm not like that, or hit one unless it was absolutely necessary like I was being attacked or a family member was. But I'm trying to move on realizing she might have not been for me, but I don't think you can just unlove someone, especially if you truly do love them. Yk

@Mrcino 1408 Definitely, but I won't be going into another relationship anytime soon I'm focusing on myself rn and getting my life straight and focusing on school rn. And im healing properly rn, letting it hurt instead of numbing it with a girl or alcohol. You stay strong too brother, in whatever you are going through 💪

It hasn’t even been a week since my boyfriend broke up with me because of my OCD and depression cocktail. He said that the breakup wasn’t out of him not loving me anymore, but because he and his family had already dealt with very strong mental health issues in the past and that a) he couldn’t bear seeing me hurting all of the time and b) he wasn’t sure that he wanted to be “my nurse”. Then he said that I shouldn’t blame myself because depression and OCD are never anyone’s fault. I’ve tried to be very understanding: I do believe one has a right to decide what one wants in their partner. He doesn’t want a partner with mental health issues, I can understand that. I can also understand that these five months since my OCD made itself known have been very hard on him. But, I also feel so betrayed. He used to nitpick the word “love” so much and reflect on what it actually meant to love. He said loving someone was choosing to stay with them during the good times and the bad. This is absolutely the worst bad time in my entire life. And he said, and also said it to my mother, that he would stick with me through it all. Now five months later, he’s changed his mind. I don’t get how he can say he still loves me and abandon me when I most need love and support. If it’s not my fault like he says, why leave me? He said he still wants to be in my life—at a safe distance, where he can’t see all the ugly parts of what OCD and depression can do to a person. All of this makes me feel as if I wasn’t worth the effort of dealing with everything. Then that’s not love is it? I also feel very lonely as the only people that know about my OCD were him and my parents. He made himself into one of my biggest pillars of support, and shaped our lives so that he could always be with me. So we’re in the same classes, and although we share friends I’ve always felt that they entertained me because I was his girlfriend. As for my closer friends, I’ve felt that I was drifting apart from them and although I’ve furtively mentioned my problems with OCD to them, they either don’t care to ask or aren’t really sure how to talk to me. I feel so alone. And now my “number one supporter” has left, and it angers me very much. Especially because I’ve been the one to calm him down and give him hugs and explained what topics we saw in the class he missed the day after we broke up. I’m the one that convinced him to eat three cookies for dinner because he didn’t want to eat. And I’m the one that had to tell him that friends don’t wish each other a great night every night, like we used to do. It seemed like he wanted things to stay the same but without the relationship part of kissing and dealing with my panic attacks. It feels it’s kind of unfair because he’s not without issues and I didn’t judge him once and always tried to be there for him, and the single biggest issue I have ever had was too much for him. The vengeful part of me wants him to hurt as much as he hurt me. I hope he understands his decision has consequences and that he can’t be with me in the same way he was— especially now that I know that he leaves at my most critical, vulnerable moments. I’m writing this while mad. But I know later I’ll feel sad and more understanding and want to be friends with him again. And then I’ll get mad again. And so on. I know this is just a really tough situation however you look at it. But I’m still overwhelmed by the thought that if OCD had never struck, we might still be together. I also deserve some love and support 😔 Thank you if you read all the way till here. I’m sorry if it was a long read, but I’m very thankful. Nowadays it feels like NOCD is one of my remaining sources of support. I’m very grateful for everyone on here, I hope all of you have a great day and that it’s a victory against this accursed mental disorder
My bf and I just broke up and I haven’t felt this sort of heartbreak in a very long time. I’m crying all the time and can barely get out of bed. Idek what to do with myself and I’m terrified I’m going to relapse because of all the added stress. I think us breaking up was the right decision but it hurts so fucking bad idek what i should do anymore. I’m not normally the emotional type when it comes to situations like this either. Any advice?
I’m disappointed and upset with myself. Growing up in an immigrant household that didn’t believe in therapy as much, I mostly only really took care of my mental health when it came to playing sports. I was not a great communicator when it came to my feelings or being vulnerable with my partners and friends.The world makes you feel like it’s normal to not say what you mean and that you have to be indirect with a lot of the things you say. It caused a lot of fights, hurt feelings, and words I should have never said between me and my recently ex girlfriend. We had broken up about a week ago, but today is the day she said she did not want to talk to me anymore. I wish I did more than journal and meditate. I wish I got treatment for my OCD earlier, or just any therapy at all. I wish I learned to be better at communication way before I met her. Maybe I wouldn’t have lost her, maybe if I had been more honest and more direct about my feelings, our fights wouldn’t have happened. I wish I could have been more for her. I wish I could have been more for myself. I wish I took mental health, growing, and healing more seriously. I am disappointed for my skepticism and being okay with stagnating as a person. I should have healed and addressed my issues sooner. I don’t know what else to do. I don’t know how to move on. It feels like I blew my one chance to be with the one person I really loved and the first partner I planned on something really long term with. I feel both the weight and pain of disappointment in myself, and losing her. I know the breakup is hitting her too, and I am worried about her wellbeing. They say there are 5 stages of grief, I wonder what stage this one is. And I wonder how long it’ll take me to just come to acceptance. I want to be better. I want to not hurt people I care about. I want to be the man I am supposed to become.
