Is this a symptom of ocd?
When I reassure myself that I no I would never do that, I don’t believe it & when I’ve been using the same reassurance for a while it doesn’t work the same way as it use to?

Yep, that’s why reassurance seeking and any other form of compulsion does NOT work. Your OCD will never be satisfied; it doesn’t have the ability to be satisfied. ERP is the golden standard for OCD treatment. Are you seeing a specialist?
@Nica No not yet , but I’m looking for someone who specialises in OCD
@Annoying_OCD You are seeking reassurance and I know it’s hard, but I won’t give it to you because it makes it worse. Yes, that’s exactly how it works. The same things don’t work after a while. Super common.
It is. I have the same issue with harm ocd rn to the point where I’m just not gonna reassure myself anymore. I tell myself “You would never k**l anyone” and my brain just doesn’t respond and the anxiety doesn’t go down. Just gotta let the thought sit at this point.
