Is it a preference or OCD?
There's a huge difference between doing something as an OCD compulsion and doing something because that's generally the way you prefer to do them. The same behavior - for example, wanting your room to look a certain way or avoiding something - can be an entirely normal preference, or it can be an OCD symptom that can severely negatively affect your life. But how can you tell whether something is OCD-driven or a genuine preference? Here are some ways to differentiate between the two; what else would you add?
