I donāt HAVE a dating life, and part of that has to do with my fear of my OCD being dragged into something wonderful and ruining it. So DOES OCD affect my dating life? You tell me.

@Mackenzie - NOCD Team Member Thank you @Mackenzie, I try to be where I can. The Disgust-Based Contamination OCD coming from my insula hasnāt been real responsive to treatment, but Iām hoping that enough Mastery work will keep it under control. Richard Gallagher had a lot of good ideasā especially because Iām neurodivergent, which he discussed a lot in his book. OCD is like a computer program, or maybe a computer virus. But AuDHD is like its own operating system. Managing the OCD computer virus on an unusual operating system is no small task.
Can OCD make you think that whoever you like isnāt actually a good match and you should quickly move on?

As a woman, I generally worry for my safety. OCD likes to convince me Iāll be murdered on a date some day š But if that happens, hopefully Iāll at least have a good coffee first
Iām scared to date and trust someone again. I unfortunately shared too much and allowed him to blame my ocd for all the problems in the relationship. Iām upset I did this haha
