Yeah me too, I’ve started to fear about a multitude of things actually, like I’m too scared to do anything because I know I’ll be re-analysing and thinking over the stupidest things. I’ve been going through this for about 3-4 months now and it sucks alot. At the start it was mind numbingly painful like I would be paralysed with fear, but now it’s like, I’ve already gone through probably hundreads of stupid scenarios and themes and it’s gotten to the point where my anxiety only spikes to like 3 out of 10 instead of 10/10. I can see it getting better though and I’m glad.

Yeah I understand. I was totally freaked the first time I had a violent thought! ? I'm glad we can support each other. I can see the light .

Yeah, does your ocd ever try to link things together to convince you of something? What mine does is it links me watching a horror movie to me being a terrible person. It’s insane what ocd does.

I've been diagnosed with intrusive thought ocd just a few months ago. It's paralyzing. I've become scared of things I've never been scared of and started feeling like a monster for thinking these things. Seems the more I try not to think about it the more I think about it.

I know how you feel, I got the same thing too, the best way I found to deal with it is to recognise that it’s trying to take advantage of you. The OCD intrusive thoughts stop when you learn the methods OCD uses to give you anxiety, the more you become accustomed to the methods your OCD uses the better you’ll get at defeating your OCD. Healing starts when you learn to believe that everything bad your OCD tells you is a bunch of nonsense. I don’t care how believable it is, learn to tell it that it’s fake.

Same!!!! That's what happened to me the harder I tried to dismiss scary thoughts the harder they dug in. It's depressing. I'm such a peaceful non violent human.?

I'm the same. I would never harm anything or anyone so why am I having these thoughts? They cause me to have panic attacks and I feel like a monster

Yes. They are terrible and it makes me sick to my stomach to even think about saying them out loud. I seriously feel like a monster most days. I don't know where they came from but I wish they would go away

Yep same here, I used to have the most intense fear in the world, it felt like actual hell on earth. 4 months past and now I just feel a sense of guilt and shame, no reason why but it’s an after effect of months of intense trauma and pain that my harm OCD caused me. The fear is now reduced a fair bit now. From what I heard you just got to push through it, there isn’t anything you can do about it except sitting through the anxiety and pressure of the OCD thoughts until it eventually goes away. We’re all on the same boat here don’t worry.
