I just got really bad kidney pain, i feel like throwing up and passing out. Im so worried. I went to the er and they found something wrong with my kidney but didnt do anything
What did they find? It could be kidney stones that can make you sick I would follow up with a urologist asap
They found somethjng called mild renal fullness which means theres urine backed up in my kidney. It hurts more than words describe and i keep reading that it can cause damage in the kidney. Yet they did nothing
@Anonymous Yea the ER sucks, please call a uroglist TODAY tell them what they told you, there’s definitely people in your area I’m sure, if not your PCP, and say I need an APPT like today or tomorrow say you went to the ER. I had an ovarian cyst they did nothing about except tell me and I got referred to my now OBGYN who took care of it! I got it removed, they’re there to take care of emergency’s and that’s something that a different specialist has to deal with that’s why drs are on call for hospitals
@Anonymous Are they going to run anymore tests? Or did they send you home? If they just sent you home and you’re in as much pain as you say I would go to a different ER and get a second opinion. This is usually caused by something and I think in this case it’s better safe than sorry to get a second opinion if you’re really sick and in extreme pain.
@#Lexiriri All the other hospitals are really far :( and no they didn't run more tests they acted like it was no big deal when it can actually lead to kidney failure. Idk what to do
@Anonymous I would run to a different hospital or call your Dr and speak to a nurse ASAP. You have to do something so you need to act quickly
@Anonymous It’s going to be ok but this is a concern don’t be worried! But you need to act now
@EmmaGrace27 All the other hospitals are pretty far. I left a message for my gp but it'll take a while. I'm really scared because I keep getting chills
@Anonymous I would march right back into the ER and demand you get help tell them your symptoms
@EmmaGrace27 Like I’m serious you need to call 911 or something
@EmmaGrace27 They're not gonna do anything they're just gonna let me wait for ages and then I'll have wasted time :(
@Anonymous Make the best decision ok?
@EmmaGrace27 Idk what to do im scared
@Anonymous My best advice is go back to the er honey or reach out to someone!!
@Anonymous If it’s mild it won’t lead to kidney failure, that would only occur in case when this is a chronic occurrence, multiple severe occurrences. That being said it is an indication that there could be something more serious happening and if you are in a large amount of pain and very sick like you’ve said you need to get to a different ER. I understand that the other hospitals are further, but this is an actual issue with your health not something brought up by your OCD and unless you have something very basic like a UTI your primary doctor won’t be able to help you much because if a UTI isn’t the cause you are going to need more imaging to find out what the cause is an what’s wrong. I really encourage you to go to a different ER and get this looked at further.
@#Lexiriri The er I went to was one of the only good ones all the other ones have horrific reviews. And now the pain is spreading to my left side as well and I'm really panicked I don't want to die like this
@Anonymous Sweetheart, you need to go back to the ER and not just sit there and do nothing! You have to advocate for yourself tell them to do something
@EmmaGrace27 I tried but the doctor yelled at me
@Anonymous What did they tell you do hun? Nothing? Did they say go to Dr and follow up? You need to keep calling people or go to urgent care
@Anonymous You have to go back to the ER, even if it’s the same one and demand they do their due diligence and do more testing. That is the only thing you can do, you need to go back to the ER. You are the one with the power here, because let’s just say worst case scenario does happen then they get slapped with a big fat lawsuit of medical negligence and malpractice. You are the one with the power here, don’t be afraid to be a Karen because you aren’t being a Karen at this point. Go to the ER and demand care and more testing because you know something isn’t right and you are aware of your rights as a patient
@#Lexiriri That's what I did then I waited an entire day for an ultrasound and they found the mild renal fullness. And after that they did nothing. I'm in so much pain
@EmmaGrace27 They did nothing ya
@Anonymous Yea she’s right you need to go back! This can cause a horrible uti too
@Anonymous So you go back and you demand care, what you have is a condition that is caused by something it doesn’t just happen randomly. Go back and demand care.
@#Lexiriri But what if they refuse again and yell at me? Am I just gonna stay like this forever, I feel so hopeless. I always try to advocate for myself
@Anonymous No they literally can’t haha like it’s against the law, at that point you call 911. If yo ur in serious pain, on th floor etc, if your urin is a different color, especially if you see your skin turn a differ t color that’s bad
@EmmaGrace27 That's what they did last time they wouldn't do other tests except an ultrasound the next day. I keep getting chills and my skin is so tingly
@Anonymous Yea you need to go back and keep a list if your symptoms
@Anonymous You need to stop being nice about it, stop asking for care and start demanding it. List out your symptoms, tell them you are getting worse, and you do expect to be treated today or they may hear from your lawyers about medical negligence. Doesn’t matter if you don’t have lawyers they don’t know that. You had an ultrasound great they can redo it, they can also do blood work, urinalysis, and MRI if those come back clean. Your a human being and their doctors, it’s their job to treat you if they don’t raise hell unfortunately that’s the only way to get them to do anything sometimes
@#Lexiriri They did urine and blood test and ultrasounds. They said they won't do an mri and can't do it. Idk what else there is to do, my kidney is killing me, I can't live like this, I'd rather die
@Anonymous Hey are you doing ok?
@EmmaGrace27 No I got fat shamed at the hospital by some asshole guy nurse. I wish I had never come. He said I can lose weight and look like a model. After I told him I have a chronic illness. I feel like dying
@Anonymous I am so sorry 🫂
i’m so scared if i have ovarian cancer because i started having pain and stuff and i can’t sleep i’m so scared what if i have it i drank a lot of water and i used the bathroom a lot but randomly i started having lower back pain, pelvic pain, and inner thigh pain im so scared idk what to do i started to have an anxiety attack
tell me why… idk if this is just me but i’m so scared i have ovarian cancer, kidney stone, kidney failure, UTI, hernia, or something wrong that’s making my lower stomach to my inner thigh and pelvic area. i have an uncomfortable feeling. it was hurting more last night then it is today… everytime i pee it doesn’t hurt but i somewhat still get the uncomfortable feeling down there and feeling in stomach. i’ve been googling and idk what to do because i’m scared of the doctors and i haven’t had a physical like in 2 years and i’m like scared if i go to a physicial i will have something wrong with me like i have cancer or something that i don’t know about. something tells me the pain tho in general is something gastrointestinal related but idk if could mean i have pain down “there”…. i took a tylenol last night it helped a little but then it still kinda occurred and i took a tum and it’s still the same i think it’s still occurring since i’m so hyper focused about it. idk i’m just like ugh my OCD was doing so well i just can’t tell what it is or if something is wrong i’m just scared :( i hate when having certain pains i freak out.
I was diagnosed with gallbladder sand(sludge) which is not gallbladder stones yet but it can become that, and normally it does not have any symptoms but for me, I feel pain on the right side of my stomach. And i read about it and everywhere on the internet it says its gallbledder issues. I took medicine for it for 10 days and today the treatment ended but i still feel that pain and I start to worry. It's not unbereable, but it bugs me, why the right side of my stomach hurts... It says it sbould feel like a stabbing pain but I cant describe how it feels. I'm worried that it got worse or nothing happened. And it makes me angry cause before i didnt noticed it, I only remember 1 night when i had this pain, but since the diagnosis I felt it everyday...People say its because I avoided the feeling or didnt noticed it which makes me scared. I have to go back in 2 weeks to see if the sand is gone but till then idk how to stop worrying and noticing this pain. Worrying makes it 10x more painful.
