I was on Zoloft for over a month , then 2 days ago my heart rate got to 140 and I made my mom take me to the hospital. everything was okay just anxiety, now I’ve been waking up with anxiety and being nauseous it goes away after a min but it just sucks. I wanna stop my Zoloft idk how to go about that either. I’m so stressed. 😞💔
try a medication that isn’t an SSRI. SSRI’s made me VERY suicidal, my doctor switched me to antipsychotics (scary name i know) but they have actually made me think clearly, reduce my intrusive thoughts, and not be suicidal. I take Lamotrigine as a mood stabilizer and I have for 6 years and it changed my life!
Talk to your Dr. Prozac made my anxiety worse.
@g### I tried Prozac when I was like 13 and then I tried Zoloft not long ago both haven’t really given a positive affect.
I heard it's super important to go off your medication very slowly with the help of your doctor, so you don't feel strong withdrawal effects
I’m right there with you. I tried Lexapro for two days. It was horrible. Then I got switched to Zoloft for two weeks and I just don’t think it was for me at all. I know they wanted me to give it more time but I feel like when we are already in a different state. Sometimes the medication is a lot in her shortness. I was only at 50 mg and she told me I can stop it abruptly. I do not recommend doing that, but since I was only on it for two weeks, I don’t know. I feel very emotional. The past couple days only stopped on Tuesday.

@justsomone1 Oh I see I would talk with doctor. Mine told to stop without tapper which is so odd but I believe u should taper any med definitely reach out to your doctor and maybe discuss that with them
Hi! SSRIs can increase your anxiety sometimes. It sounds like you maybe have developed a little bit of anticipatory anxiety from your experience as well. This is quite common. The fear of it happening again, fuels it to happen again. Next time it happens just try and sit in the discomfort. Acknowledge it, but do not interact with it. Remind yourself “this is not urgent, I am safe, this will run its course, etc” Also try yoga and walking. It helps.
Hi, I don’t know what to do anymore Pocd kills me I had many themes before but this theme is the hardest for me. I’m tired. I’m on therapy and meds but I barely do erp . I don’t have a reason I just don’t want to do it but today I will because I have to. I’m taking meds and they help with the anxiety for sure. But the obsessive part is still here . I’m almost 2 months on it (40 mg on Prozac) but I’m still super obsessed like I can have thoughts 24/7 every second of the day and not leave me alone. I have experienced a thought right now for a month + . It’s a thought to do compulsion/urge. My therapist says to let go and gives me tips how to she also tell me to do more erp. But I have this thought to do compulsion for more then month. Im scared what if I don’t have ocd the thought is 24/7. Do you think I should switch meds im so tired.
Hi everyone. I take hydroxyzine 50 mg every night for anxiety for about five months. I’ve been experiencing at least one heart palpitation a day so of course I went down my googling spiral and saw people say it gave them cardiac arrest? I’m only 19 but I’m so so scared. Please someone help me.
I am having a really hard time with ocd and anxious thoughts and feeling extremely uneasy. I'm home alone today so it's really easy for me to get stuck in my thoughts. I'm on day 4 of prozac. I felt like yesterday I had a period of time of about 30 minutes where I felt really focused and like the anxiety lifted completely. But then an obsession started and it brought me right back down. Hopefully I feel relief again today. I'm going to go get some house work done to take my mind off of things. Does anyone have any first hand experiences with prozac? How long until you felt any relief? Any really bad side effects? Any unforseen pluses? Much appreciated.
