I woke up this morning feeling like all weird, I went on Google to look at escape rooms and my ocd of corse kept saying there’s kids there and I felt groinal responses and actually stopped on the post that I thought was a child to look at them and feel aroused. My heart sank and now I need to wash my whole body and myself please can ocd do this
Hi ocd is horrible, it is OCD because those who do have bad intentions usually enjoy with little to no conscientious of guilt or shame. For example being a child attracted to another child the brain thinks it's fine, and what life doesn't really teach is the natural and nurture inclination is not always accessible or provided for the brain to click to know your tastes have changed. It can happen when internally your brain still thinks as a child or afraid of others judgements that causes these possible arousal. It is similar to some new mothers or even mothers with their new child do not experience maternal instincts, so they have to learn to discipline what works for them without the emotional drive by following their value and goal. Which to reach to it is sitting with the discomfort and processing the grief and confusion why it feels such a disadvantage when others don't have this problem. Being a parent is more tangible though to not allow much time or excuses to grow and learn fast because their child is on the line. Oddly enough OCD tries to imitate it but with condemnation and analyzing when humans are not like computers that have to follow input and repeat the same results. If we did we would eat the same favorite meal every day without losing satisfaction. It's more of facing what you want to become rather than analyzing what external or internal inputs that could be wrong that helps overcome such thoughts even if it's not OCD. I treat it more closely to myself not about protecting other kids from me but protecting my inner child that I deserve to have and always shown and have been showing up for myself to live life by making choices that I took actions in other ways that will continue to not result in continued arousal or interrogation. If I do, I'm condemning and scolding a hormonal teen who can't control their arousal or groin reactions while scolding them to calm down despite they did not do anything outwardly inappropriate. Which "calm down" are words that are an example I have never seen help people calm down, it's a demand of a result not a guidance and not validating like "oh yeah that can happen to a human, let's do this instead." It helps process and address there is discomfort and what to do or be comforted. OCD tries to trick it with "what if" instead of let's try this self care because it's about prevention instead of direction. Even married couples can be flattered or attracted or even aroused by others but they stop when they notice and do something else. Generally when it's to avoid is because someone else is entering their personal space or boundary, otherwise they let the thoughts pass by understanding it's human to the point that forgiveness may not even be needed and choose to be an okay person. Not even nuns and teachers are immune to this, yet just build it with habit to compartment thoughts some where else while being aware this can happen between anyone so that way they can step in if someone else tries to breach a child's boundary, not about themselves. If they are too focused about their own actions the child can be hurt even by just tripping because of being obsessed with thoughts instead of life. You got this, you're okay, and that's enough to be a good human.

@Ocd is horrible It's OCD tricking you wanted to, humans are naturally curious and from immense guilt and avoidance the brain hasn't sorted a "no thank you, next" category yet. The more it's avoided the more it gets aroused by taboo ironically. It's the way I have a bowl of candy readily available and talked about healthy eating to kids that they always end up eating more fruits than the candy for sugary treats. However when I forbid from them eating my expensive sugar free diet meals they always found it and want it so bad compared to candy, but it was literally not healthy for kids to eat my meals. Brain don't care, it wants to do something. So you coming here to share or choosing doing something else even after that prompt is a win already. It is traumatizing because it's a culture shock, you haven't gone through this before and most people don't usually share they had those moments because they already dealt with it and are afraid of it blowing out of proportion by others or their own thoughts. If thoughts were real then plane would have crashed many times with so much people fearing the same thing. Let it pass by and go treat yourself for some ice cream that everyone is still safe. You're okay.

Let me start by prefacing that I developed ocd as postpartum ocd after having my first child. I had harm and pocd. I had it on and off for years and then it just eventually went away completely for many years until recently after a stressful life event. Now that it’s back it again targets my children but now my grandchildren also. It’s been horrible and makes me pull away from them. Last night my 6 year old granddaughter threw up in the car when my daughter was about to take her home so my daughter brought her back in the house and asked me to clean her up while she cleaned her car. I had some anxiety about it because of my ocd but I couldn’t say no to helping so I opened the bathroom door and my granddaughter was standing in her underwear waiting for me to clean and dress her. Everything was fine and normal but then for some reason, I have no idea why, I looked down at her chest area. I immediately got so upset and didn’t know why I looked there and now my ocd is saying it’s because i’m a monster. I tried to tell myself it’s just normal human behavior when someone is standing there naked that you look where you shouldn’t simply because it’s just there in front of you but I feel horrible. I don’t feel any inappropriate way about her or any child but my ocd is saying it was inappropriate. Has anyone else been through this?
Hi I’m really struggling I was up until 5 am last night getting showers and washing my bedding in stress. I want to know if ocd can do this…. When I get gronal responses it feels nice and last night even tho it was over a child it felt too nice to try to stop it… but can ocd do this, even tho the gronal responses was because of a child. I’m im so much distress due to this. Like they felt genuinely enjoyable and I wanted them but that itself was freaking me out
Okay so In the moment I get intrusive thoughts about children which I hate. I get the gronal responses which I always so many compultions after. My ocd is very bad and I’m showering and changing my bedding around 8 times. Therapists have told me I’m the worse they’ve ever known. That’s how bad my life is atm. I hate this disorder. I want to know if ocd can cause these things as it will help me to fight my compulsions and just except it’s ocd… In the moment the gronal responses are genuinely pleasurable and I struggle to ignore them and stop them, in the moment t I want them even if it was due to a thought of a kid My OCD will tell me I’m aroused I’ll feel aroused then when moving around in my bed it’ll tell me to make my vagina touch my bedding for a feeling while I’m turning over and I purposely do it in the moment… I hate it. After I do so many compilations, it’s not even me it’s like someone else controlling my body When I try to fight my compulsions I think in my mind “I like this anyways” and actually like the thoughts and gronal responses over the children, which then makes me not be able to fight them. For example my ocf was telling me to spray my feet with anti back, but then I tried to fight it and I was thinking to myself “nah l like this one I like this feeling over the kid it’s the real me” like I didn’t even feel stressed from it it’s like I wanted it. Of corse after these I do lots and many compultions Please I just want to know if ocd can do this
