Does anyone here even believe that I could become famous and successful and loved someday....Even if people know everything that's happened to me? Please don't answer with nice things for the sake of making me feel better...I want an honest answer.

None of them have pedophilia themed OCD though....I wonder why

@Vimli What matters is it’s ocd And What matters is we feel it the same way, the same way you feel about having ocd about Doing stuff to kids is the exact same way I feel about having ocd about doing stuff with People of the same sex

@Vimli But Hocd and POCD do go against your values and morals I agree with you on that but all forms are the same we all go through reassurance anxiety depression and even take the same meds just don’t give your ocd power like that

@Mod22 HOCD shouldnt go against your values because if it does, you're essentially saying you think being gay is wrong and on the same level of wrong that being a pedophile is. HOCD shouldnt go against your morals and values, it should go against your character and what you know about yourself. That's what the egodystonicity of HOCD should be. You should be scared of being gay because it doesnt align with who you are, it doesnt make sense and it renders any straight relationships or any of the things you thought you knew about each other absolutely meaningless. You shouldn't be scared of being gay because you think gay people are gross perverted immoral freaks. That's just fucking rude.

@Mod22 well you said HOCD goes against your morals, thats why I got upset. Because when I was a child I got introduced to the concept of homosexuality by my parents telling me that homosexual people are cross-dressing child-molesting freakshows. Now 14 years later I'm a gay person suffering from pedophilic doubts....How absolutely fitting. One of the reasons I even developed OCD is because of this conflation that people make between homosexuality and pedophilia - comparing it constantly. I know you didn't mean to do that but just seeing you group HOCD and POCD together and saying they go against your morals made me feel like you did that. I'm sorry for making that assumption, it just really does something to me, when I see shit like that.

@Vimli I get it I grew up Straight as hell and this Hocd only happened this March and I can’t cope I even tried to commit suicide because that’s not who I am and didn’t even understand what was wrong with me until I discovered the concept of Hocd like this July or August I thought I was crazy and even thought that some people do become gay this way so it really affected me and it makes me feel like my dreams of becoming a husband and a father are just coming to an end I feel like there’s no hope for me but I still continue to Get up and get shit done, my Whole concept was to tell you that ocd is the same through all of us whether it’s Hocd pocd and more it affects us the same way and that’s just the point I tried to make I even gave examples of Artists who made it and have ocd and I was just trying to help out

@Vimli It’s cool but what you need to see is that it’s the same and famous people Made it with ocd and so can you, just keep you head up high I know it’s easier said than done but also stop seeking reassurance from people too it feeds ocd asking questions like these because you might get different questions from different people which might conflict you as hell..... are you seeking help from a therapist?
