Get you, it's so hard. But first of all: you haven't chosen this disorder!! Be kind to yourself - it's so important. Speak to yourself ad you should have done to a close friend. Use the SOS button.

Hi, I'm sorry to hear you're still struggling with this. I remember commenting underneath another one of your posts a few days ago :( The fact that you feel like you can't move on without 100% certainty is proof it's OCD. But accepting the uncertainty is what you're going to have to practice to break out of this loop of ruminating on past events... Estrid is right. Speak to yourself as you would speak to a friend, or even your sister! What if your roles were flipped? What if your sister came and confessed these things to you? Would you treat her as harshly as you're treating yourself? I don't think so... Offer yourself some compassion. Treat yourself gently 🫂 I'm here if you ever need to talk, and again, I'm sorry you're struggling.

@nae nae Thank you so much for both your very kind replies. I’m really trying to be more gentle with myself and shake the “you’re an abuser who committed sa” thoughts but it’s hard. I’m gonna try to play some sims 4 today to distract myself!

I’m sorry you’re feeling this way. Whatever happened, know that it’s not who you are, just an action that you did. Did you physically, mentally, or emotionally abuse someone? If the answer is no, you are not an abuser. If the answer is yes but you apologized and know for a fact you will never do it again, you are not an abuser, you just did something bad one time and learned from it. Your thoughts do not define you.
