Does anyone feel like god didn't forgive them even after confessing? Doing alot of sins and confessed but still have this fear of thoughts telling you you had so bad Thoughts about him and that you don't deserve to be forgiven? Or it's too late? And anything religious triggers you?

I, too, have dealt with religious OCD. It can be a really tough one to work through. For me, it's a work in progress. I do believe in what Christ taught in the gospels, and that sins can be forgiven. I also believe that God knows me better than I know myself, and that he knows where these intrusive thoughts are coming from-OCD, not I. I don't know if this gives you any solace, but it's how I approach it. Hope it helps.

I hope this brings you comfort. God said this about himself! That’s huge. Think about that. It wasn’t someone else saying, “oh, God is loving and will forgive you.” This is God himself declaring his merciful characteristics. “The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children’s children, to the third and the fourth generation.”” Exodus 34:6-7 ESV And don’t let the last part trip you up. Jeremiah 31 verses 27-34 introduce the new covenant and the end of children bearing the weight of their parents sin. And of course, “by no means clear the guilty” …that’s where the gospel, the good news about Jesus comes into play. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, He gave his only son that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.” Jesus, God incarnate, took the punishment for us.

@Anonymous I’m so glad it helped you. 🩷 I’m actually doing pretty bad right now, but with pocd. Scrupulosity used to be my biggest theme, but now that I’ve come out of that, it really helps me to share with others what I’ve learned/what helped me.
ROCD is one of the toughest OCD but it's one of the easiest too.Let me clarify, God is merciful.And Extremely loving.So, once true repentance is enough for a life's sins to be erased.I know it's tough the devil messes with ur faith.But it always attacks those with high love for God.So keep reminding yourself that God loves us and Absolutely loves to forgive us.

Our feelings and sensations are tricky to navigate. They are God's gift to us to guide and help us but they are not always calibrated. For us with OCD our thoughts and feelings need a recalibration. But thankfully God's forgiveness is not dependent on our thoughts and feelings! He is God and not man that he would change or waver !

Lately my OCD has been very horrible, it’s been more convincing than ever to the point where I’m genuinely convinced that I like this stuff, when I get a thought, I’ll hear my intrusive thoughts go “oooh, I like that, I’d do that.” and I just don’t freak out nor feel bad, I just feel like I like it even more, and feel like I would do/act on it and like it, and the feeling is strong and it lingers forever? It genuinely feels like I do, and I’m just lying now, i can’t tell if I make these thoughts worse or anything All I remember mostly just being like confused sometimes when these thoughts happen, but since I’m getting strong emotions that I like it, my brain says that means I did and I’m worried about that being true because I don’t understand nor know It’s like I am resisting to like this stuff now, it’s even tougher now than it was before
TW religious ocd OCD is turning innapropriate desires into prayers. Essentially the best way I can describe it is everyone has innapropriate desires sometimes. One example is if I’m suicidal, I wouldn’t mind if a meteor hit while I was asleep. Obviously that affects other people too, but if it’s not my fault, selfishly I want it. Well, it essentially turns that “I want this” thought into me thinking towards god “this would be nice if it happens.” Especially if it wasn’t my fault at all, I wouldn’t mind. My brain can VERY easily turn that into a prayer. All I have to do is direct it for a second towards god, and boom, technically it’s a prayer. Has anyone else had this? It really seems like ocd, even if it is VERY technically a prayer. It doesn’t seem like a normal, thought out prayer
17f I have a lot of events, but my main and my worst one which is absolutely fucking diabolical was done when I was 14 and repeated when I was 16. Everytime I post something about real event ocd here people are like you are probably didn't do anything that bad, and when they hear what I did they are like yeah that's bad. Someone even asked me if I'm autistic cause "it's crazy how you didn't realize that the thing ypu were doing was wrong at this age." And I kinda agree, like it's fucked up It's just that my event is bad. Doesn't mean I don't have real event ocd. You can have a reocd over the event that was bad, it doesn't mean the event wasn't that bad or you don't have recod. It's just people always expect it to be something innocent and it's not Even a healthy person would feel guilty over it, it's just that I had ocd my whole life and it's making the guilt absolutely destructive, like to the point when I sometimes have a hard time breathing when I think about it, I lost more than a year of life to it, almost checked myself out couple of times if I wasn't so scared of pain/failure, the event haunts me in my dreams, it's in my head 24/7 and I will never able to forgive myself. That ocd. But the event itself was bad. So maybe i deserve it.
