Stop analyzing !!!!!!! Stop seeking reassurance you arent going to Get better doing this.
@Dbreezy95 Ok aren’t u a ball of sunshine
@ocdsuxxx I had severe harm ocd so take my advice or dont i dont care with your sarcasm
@Dbreezy95 Okay and sometimes people need reassurance u dick
@ocdsuxxx Not trying to be rude. But from my experience the reassurance keeps you in the loop. Only trying to help 😢
@Dbreezy95 Okay I’m sorry i have anger issues I apologize for saying that , I’m just going through a lot my bf just died and I have horrible thoughts all the time and sometimes it helps to get reassured u know :(
@ocdsuxxx Me too! All day intrusive thoughts. Im better at managing them now sometimes. Some days are harder. Im very sorry to hear that. Im hear to talk if you ever need someone to talk too. I have the same thoughts as you trust me
@Dbreezy95 I’m here for u too, it’s so hard every second it’s like new thoughts and same ones bugging me no relief :(
@ocdsuxxx I know fuck. But im alot better than i was. Youre doing something mentally that is stopping you from getting better !
@Dbreezy95 I think mental checking
@ocdsuxxx If you ever want someone to talk to my IG is danielsbrissa.
@Dbreezy95 Did you take any meds ?
@ocdsuxxx How are you now ? Any better? Reading old harm ocd threads seeing if anyone found an answer
@StayCalm Doing great actually. Never took Meds. Don’t even use this app but somehow got your notification And something told me to check. Some days it will creep back in and bother me but you just have to continue letting the thoughts be there and not engage !!
@Dbreezy95 Did you ever go through a period where it was just like every second of the day for days I feel like I go through that and then it lets up for a couple days then it comes back then it happens again. It’s like a nonstop cycle that’s been going on now and this hasn’t bothered me in 20 yearsand at that time it was before I knew what intrusive thoughts were so of course I was freaking out, but once I knew what it was, I was able to roll it off my back I mean not that easy but pretty good never took meds and then all of a sudden everything exploded this year.
@StayCalm Sorry I thought you responded to me for some reason
I think the difference might lie in the intention. For instance, when I get harm thoughts pop up in my mind, I know I don't wanna have those but can't help it. Whereas a serial killer may not see an ethical problem with such thoughts.
@Cansu Yersal I agree, I think it’s a difference between having those thoughts and knowing you don’t want to do that, and having those thoughts and actually wanting to act out on them.
I understand that it is difficult for you to not ponder such questions. I sympathize with you and feel sorry for you. By seeking an answer to the question, you become even more afraid of being a person who wants to kill others. It does not help even if you get a reassuring explanation. You teach your brain that the thought is dangerous and soon you have a new similar question that scares you. You need a therapist who can help you.
Mine came suddenly almost 2 years ago and it was nonstop thoughts for almost 2 years. I’m finally at a point where it comes and goes. Sounds like You had a relapse so I’m not sure what triggered it but if you know the tools then use them!
