I know this is a common thing that ocd sufferers deal with. Does anyone else really feel like they're going crazy? It really freaks me out the weird sensations I get in my head. I'm just wondering if I'm the only one who gets hyperaware of whats going on in my head, physically and mentally.
You’re not alone in any of that. That’s OCD doing its thing and showing off. My hyper awareness of my physical and mental sensations became a compulsion, so try and catch yourself ruminating on it or labeling it and just call it what it is (OCD) and try to get back to your day. I know I make that sound so easy, but it does get easier the more you do it. Good luck!
They became a compulsion for me too. Its hard when the mind will make up some weird logic to try to convince you that you have to do compulsions and then they're so hard to stop.
I feel like this rn but the thoughts im getting make me feel like im going crazy and i have that dizzy like you said hyper aware or hypervigilant and it’s scary cuz it’s making me think i got something more
ocd is making you think you have something more. leave it up to the therapists, okay? i do the same thing-- compulsive self diagnosing. whatever you've got going on, will be found out in due time, and you will receive the proper treatment for it.
It’s intrusive thoughts but I feel like this time for some reason because it’s harm ocd my thoughts just feel a lot more distressing and the anxiety with it isn’t helping lol. But I’m just ruminating a lot and been trying not to do any compulsions yk
It even feels like my compulsions are making me crazy because of the internal compulsions making me feel dizzy and other sensations.
I have thought, many times, that I should check myself into a mental institution. I'm aware of what I'm thinking, doing, and saying at all times. I have felt fuzzy or dizzy too.
@uberhuberman Hyperaware of everything and then the mind starts making new things up because it doesn't know what else to do. Thats what I've experienced.

I’m super late but I 1000% relate to this, infact it’s so accurate and relatable it’s so scary because I’ll be mistaking head sensations or physical sensations for mental and that’ll I’ll lose it. I’ll even get big spikes of anxiety when I get a major panic attack, it literally feels like my body wants to lose it even though I don’t want to but my head literally makes it feel so real with physical sensations. I’ll get the light and heavy sensation in the back of my head and it freaks me out so much :(
