I literally feel movements, pressure, tickle in my brain.. I still don't have access to myself :-( I don't feel happiness.. Some repetitive thoughts are gone, but I really feel like losing my mind I am on 200mg sertraline for 3 weeks now.. I had OCD for years but I could live with it.. Now my brain just stop working
I went through the same thing, I also am on 200mg of Sertraline. When I was on about 100mg of Sertraline I went through a period of a couple months with emotional numbness. With each dose change I experienced heightened anxiety. Over time, it leveled out for me. I had to be patient. Staying consistent with the medication really helped. I’ve been on 200mg for a few months now, and to boost its effects I’ve been prescribed Bupropion as well, which is solely a mood enhancer

i know how that goes :/ i was on lexapro for a while and had a similar experience. it quieted my brain, but also quieted…everything else. i was so aware of everything going on around me that it was too overwhelming. that being said, SSRIs take a lot of getting used to! it can take a while for them to fully take effect. if you’re really not feeling good, definitely talk to your doctor and see what they can do. everyone’s different and certain medications just don’t mesh well with certain people, and that’s okay! wishing you the best🙏

@ocdnomore1 eventually yes! i’m not on medication anymore, but it definitely helped me while i was on it. just had to give it time!

I'm on day 12 and my intrusive thoughts have become more realistic🥺
I was diagnosed with OCD and I started Prozac 10 days ago. I have struggled with intrusive taboo sexual thoughts for 12+ years (I’m 24) but now I feel like it’s turning into feelings. I’ve never done anything to anyone or nor do I wish to ever. I am just scared of my own brain if this is something I actually want. My psychiatrist said I should feel better/start getting clarity after 2 weeks. But I keep feeling worse and worse. Anyone else has experience with Prozac and how it went for them?
Hi everyone, I’m new to the community. I was diagnosed with OCD just a couple of months ago and have been doing some reading and other research to try and understand the disorder. With this, I have been actively seeing a great therapist who has been helpful to build tools to deal with my intrusive thoughts ( contamination OCD is my worst theme). Do help learn to deal with the compulsions, I start on Sertraline or “Zoloft” I believe since November 2024. Currently I’m on 50mg and have been doing this for just over a month. My question for those who are also taking Sertraline and it has been successful, how do you know it has really provided a benefit and how long did it take to get there? I sometimes feel the medication works, and sometimes I feel it doesn’t (maybe that’s my OCD trying to mess with things). Thanks!
Today marks my third day on 150 mg of Sertraline, and I've been noticing some symptoms or issues that could be related? I'm wondering if anyone else deals or has dealt with something similar? I've been having really vivid dreams and nightmares, and when I wake up from them, I'm DRENCHED in sweat. Like absolutely soaked. But besides that, I'm extremely anxious. Even the dreams I can't remember leave me feeling off, and then I spiral wondering what they were about. Then there's not being able to cry? I'm not incapable of feeling emotion, but the tears feel trapped, and I just get nauseous if anything. There's been a couple of times where I've been able to cry, but it's like on and off 😭 Oh, and the last thing is constantly feeling hot? Like my face will feel flushed, but the rest of my body is a normal temperature. It's weird🧍♀️
