So it was a friendship and then it became a relationship?

@Believe Well from my point of view it was not OCD because when you love someone, you dream about this person , you want to be with her , it's real feelings , because OCD mostly gives you negative. So do not worry It was a real love .

Well maybe you loved her at the time and then you fell out of love... that’s ok too. I would try not to get frightened by letting ocd diminish your feelings. They felt real and true at the time and that’s what love is. Just because you feel you don’t love her now doesn’t mean that you didn’t before ?

You are very welcome and just know that you are not alone and the fact that you worry about others so much shows that you’re a good person ?

Wait. How do you know it wasn't love?I'm confused. Love has a different meaning for everyone. Honestly I don't think "love" the way people try to describe it in pop culture exists. I think it's a deep deep affection for another person, whatever that means for you.

I know because suddenly it faded away. Also, doing ERP sessions confirmed that my love for her was not more than a obsession of OCD. I as well agree that love is a deep deep affection and I don't feel that affection for her in reality ( but in my memories of OCD compulsion). It's strange!

@Believe I'm not trying to be rude, but I think you're thinking too much into this. Feelings are not concrete, they come and go. I think what you felt was infatuation. Love is a choice. Infatuation always dies (sometimes reignited at different points in a relationshirelationship). Ask anyone in a long term relationship. So are you saying you're not interested in being with this person? That's fine. I have infatuation like emotions that come and go for my boyfriend all of the time, but I know that basically I love him because I choose to, he's a wonderful human being who makes me happy. Sometimes I "feel" nothing for him at all, sometimes I hate him lmao.

@hateocd123 You're not getting what I mean to say. Of course feelings are not concrete, I felt hate, pain and happiness for her as well during my OCD obsession. I don't need to ask anyone about this. I know, I already mentioned the 3 years relation with her. I'm of course interested in that person but I see her as a friend only. OCD made me think that I love her. My love was constant for her because of OCD. I choose her as friend for the time being.
