Heroes in a half shell...

TURTLES!!! Many of the animals in India are friendly. The street dogs and cats behave like pets. You see Eagles on a daily basis. I guess the animals here have historically had less to be afraid of. I've been feeding a dog too. He knows who I am now and the first time he practically led me to the shop. I've found a restaurant where I can pig out for about 100 Rs and the food is delicious. I can see why westerners love Goa. There are hippie chicks dotted around and the Indian women are enough to drive you wild. I'm taking good advantage of the gym too. I'll be in better shape at the end of three months. This is the life.

Are you travelling to a lot of different places ? Ive been to Goa twice, once south Goa and then north Goa. Beautiful place 😍 and yeah the food is delicious and you can eat so cheaply but so well its amazing. Enjoy !

I've been in South Asia for 2 years now. I'm hunkered down at Ashwem in North Goa for the next 3 months so I can hit the gym and get some bills paid. I just got mackerel curry with rice for 200 Rs and for lunch I ate vegetarian food like a pig for about 100 Rs. There are 2 pools at my hotel and the other guests play music so I can play mine. I don't know what it is about India but I like to settle in places more. Come November I'll be exploring more of the South. I'm heading over to Tamil Nadu and back again.

@Newerthannewb82 Ah yeah ! Ashwem! I remember that ! India is a special place for sure its got a very distinct vibe in goa. Very chilled. I love how spoilt for beaches you are in Goa, each beach is as nice as the next it seems ! Im trying to remember which i preferred, i think it was north goa that I preferred 🤔 I loved how you can sit at beach front restaurants and literally dine like a king for such little money it blew my mind.

@☆♡🧚‍♂️ocdwarrior🧚‍♂️♡☆ I could eat well for £5 per day. If I eat vegetarian food even less. I like when I find a cheap location where I can just settle for a while. I hate tourist traps. I live in panic as I haemorrage money by the second in those places.

@Newerthannewb82 When I was there with my ex I remember a beach front restaurant, absolutely gorgeous views right beside the beach....we ate 3 courses each plus about 3 alcoholic drinks each, the food was fit for a king it was so delicious! And when we worked out what it was in pound sterling, we spent around £30 !!!

@Newerthannewb82 If never failed to amaze me...some of the kitchens these amazing dishes came out of ! It didnt even look like a kitchen ! It was a tiny little shack....I felt as if Gordon Ramsey must have been hidden somewhere cooking this food....I dont know how they do it but the Indians take their food extremely seriously, they can create Michelin star level food without a bloody kitchen !! 🤣
