Mental for sure. BUT God could be testing you, that’s how I look at my journey with OCD. I’ve had to let go a lot of anxieties and trust in him and his plan for me and my life. I’ve still had to put work in, but I know I’m taken care of in the end and whatever circumstance arises, I’ll be just fine(: None of us want to live with OCD thoughts, but in the end they mean nothing. My thoughts could blaspheme God forever, but he knows my heart longs for him and all I want is to serve him and uplift those around me. Take a breath. It’s going to be okay!

@AtWitsEnd I know I’ve prayed a lot for patience, and I wouldn’t have learned it without going through this!

@jesus.is.freedom Honestly, I don’t have a good answer for you. There’s going to be many, many moments in our lives where our faith is tested, demonic or not. All that matters is putting our trust in God and walking in the path of Christ with the Holy Spirit. OCD makes these thoughts obsessive. Once we finally learn to sit there with them, they get better! We are not our thoughts, we are our actions. “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:35-39 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/rom.8.35-39.KJV

When I was in high school I met a girl at the Christian club. She told me when she was younger she watched the movie The painting of Dorian Grey. Dorian Grey sells his soul in that movie. It scared her so badly she cried and told her mother she was afraid the devil was going to take her soul. Her mother told her that "even if I say right now 'devil come take my soul ' he can't do that. Nothing will happen". This gave her freedom and also gave me freedom as I didn't even know I was having ocd at that time. I think God allowed me to meet that girl to share that story so I could have some hope. The devil cannot take your soul. There's nothing in the Bible that even indicates that can happen. Whom the Lord has in the palm of His hand, No One can snatch out of his hand! Rest well dear one
