Does anyone else have posted here and than delete they post more then once because no one pay attention. And it makes you feel like people don’t react on the post because it’s to bad and they think it might be true and I am what the feelings and thoughts saying?
No I don’t think so not to D ride or anything but this app has been pretty supportive of everyone that has OCD u gotta keep in mind theirs difference subtypes of OCD so I mean everyone that makes a post thinks what they are saying is bad and socially not ok that’s the purpose of posting everyone here suffers from the same thing just a different sub section if that makes sense on top of that theirs therapist that actually play a role in this app which I like not going to lie
@Anonymous Yea that s true everytime i reply to someone i try to me honest but still i dont want to scare that person to think he s crazy or something because ocd does not mean u are crazy and many people have it so yes i like to reply to people honest
Like i always replay to people that suffer the same thing as me or things that i suffered before like i had pure ocd all my life but i also hat religious ocd,false ocd,deasease ocd and now soocd and its hard all of them are
@sofiaaaaa Oh wow didn’t know you had soocd too lol see what I mean this app I can say does a good job bringing the RIGHT people together because we all have ocd we all can relate no matter what sub division it’s in or what someone post’s intrusive thoughts are intrusive thoughts and it’s something we all can agree on when we just want these things to go away so we can live our lives
Yea i post sometimes things that are not that important and people dont respond because they maybe didint see your post or forgot i also forget sometimes i start writhing then i have something else to do if you feel alone feel free to tell me whats on your mind🥰
@sofiaaaaa Thank you for commenting on this. I posted today that I was good for weeks now and today I had like harm sensation and it worried me. And wanted to know/ask if someone had this before. But no one replied… so I guess I get paranoid…
I try and reply a decent amount here as best as I can. However, a lot of the times, I genuinely cannot relate to their OCD subtype and I have nothing of value to add. Harm OCD sucks. It attacks you to your very core. I suffer from it as well and it was about a year and a half before I made any significant progress, being in the last three weeks. From my understanding, intrusive thoughts are there to protect you. They want your attention to warn you of some outcome or possibility. That’s why they are so crazy! The issue is our brains latch on to that and the more we react out of fear, the more we make pathways in our brains that this is something we need to make sure doesn’t happen, even though the chance of it actually happening is zero. Because of that, they stay and our brains and bodies are in anxiety ridden survival mode, always looking for security. It’s never going to have it. The only way to overcome this, is to do difficult things. Basically rewire your brain to show it that these thoughts and fears mean nothing and they don’t matter, because they aren’t real threats or outcomes! The more you do this, the better it gets. BUT it will get worse before it gets better! Once you get over the small stuff, your brain will throw some crazy stuff at you to get a reaction out of you. Stay the course and live your life as you would without OCD!
Ok so I just downloaded this app like two days ago because I was looking for a OCD specialist. Maybe this is just my opinion but the posting’s on this app can be super triggering. If feels like even sharing your experience on an app like this can contribute to fueling OCD. So many people I see reassurance seeking, confessing and posting the same things multiple times to gain certainty. Makes me wonder if this app is counterproductive to the point of OCD treatment. I’m guilty of spending hours scrolling through the post trying to find people who relate to me, but in the end it makes me more anxious and fuels my OCD. Idk what do you guys think.
