What is it about getting a groinal réaction, feeling like you are into it with the not-prefered gender and not getting any with you partner and prefered gender? As i am not fzeling anxiety it really confuses me like do i want to have a girl not a boy
Try not to look for that feeling. I also have SO-OCD and ROCD. Try to enjoy your time with your partner. Anticipating whether you’ll have a reaction or not will generally give you opposite of what you’re expecting. Lack of anxiety does not really entail that the thoughts are true. Spoiler, they aren’t true. It could be you’re getting better and not giving relevance to the thoughts or that you’ve gotten used to the feeling of being anxious that you’re treating it as some sort of “safety” which it isn’t. It’s called a back door-spike and is one of the many ways OCD reels you back in. It’s also perfectly normal and you’re not alone. I also am experiencing it. Stay strong!

@Anonymous Nah I feel you bro I have SO-OCD and shit kills me. I am very much a straight man been with nothing but females but those urges and thoughts really try their best to get to me it used to be so bad but I just did my first therapy session couple days ago and life has definitely gotten a lil easier still a work in progress but this is 1000x times better then faping to something you feel so terrible and uncomfortable about because you know what’s in ur heart

@Anonymous I would say just stay off the internet bro I’ve been trying to focus on other things and if it pops up I use some of the skills I’ve gathered on here or by my therapist

@Anonymous Anytime you get an intrusive thought if you have a iPhone go to your notes section and just type a X idk for me it works it kinda slowly goes away or completely go away after awhile I feel really good cause I have a physical representation of how many times I’ve denied my ocd

@Anonymous You're most definitely not alone! I struggle with SO-OCD as well and this is one of my biggest and most challenging obsessions.
Going through this myself. 7 months ago when it started, It felt like I was attracted (false attractions) to any male, young or old, any sort even voices. The groinal was non stop at my worse point and I thought I lost all my attraction to my preferred gender (females). 7months on with medication, I feel a little myself again. My attraction to females has come back but still has up and downs all the time. The false attraction has become less but still there. It’s harder said than done (trust me, been there and still am) but if you just say maybe I am, maybe I’m not… or try your best to sit with the uncertainty not giving an answer. Strangle this helped me. I’m married to a wonderful woman which we have two children with which makes it difficult too but I was open with my wife about this which helped a lot too. I wish you well and you will pull through.
Thank you for your support, i have been struggling with this for 5 years and i feel so ashamed, my attraction for men ( even when i dated a lot of men ) has been weird or no groinal sensations anymore for the past 5 years, i feel completely lost because thid has been present for so so so long
@Mags2002 I absolutely understand, mine hasn’t been that long but I did have this 14 years ago, not as bad but it reminds me I’ve been through this before and I came out of it. This time I’ve had the false attraction, groinals which has hit me hard but knowing so many people on here helped. Try your best to not seek reassurance, I did this and it didn’t help. Have a look on my posts if you want, it was bad. But I come on here not as often now. If you don’t take medication, maybe give this a try? I’m on Zoloft which has helped. All the best!

@What is happening to me My therapist suggested medication but i don't feel comfortable taking meds as i more want to reset my brain and i think with medication the moment i will stop i will go bad again

@Mags2002 Absolutely get that. I refused for the first 3 months, I was very hesitant and thought the same about coming off medication. In fact I tried to reduce it last month but lasted 4 days before upping it again. This is your choice and stick by what you want. It’s no problem at all. Just want you not to feel alone which we all do.

I feel like my insecurities are flying of the radar , it is so weird i even start worrying about all my social relationships and friendships even though i have always been super extraverted and have lots of amazing friends , worrying about some friends if they still like me but also worrying about friends that are superenthusiastic to go out together and questioning if i like them even though they are so cool , like wtf is happening
Does anyone else when they have the thoughts, they feel against it, but they still get arousal or tenglings sensations in the groinal area? Because this is what I experienced today and I feel like crap. This is going to be very triggering for a lot of you, but there are a lot of times that I notice things from kids. For example, there is a thirteen year old kid who looks very developed for her age, and I take notice of (and this already sounds creepy to me) her chest. Today with my thoughts, I imagined as if I were touching it, and although I usually "no no or "I don't want to do that", she is a kid, etc., I still get responses in my groinal area, and It felt very real. Even now, I feel as though I am faking it, even though I groan 😮💨 from it, and feel as though I am a fraud. Does anyone relate?
hi does anyone ever get a random grounal response then feel aroused but you don’t want to be like before i had the thought i was feeling a little aroused then i had a random thought and it had the ground response and i felt aroused i don’t understand.
Everyone talks about the physical sensations that come with reacting to sexual content, even if it’s something you do not agree with (like bestiality, pedophilia, or incest). But what about the mental feeling, like when it feels like you liked the thought? I think I might have asked this before, but does anyone else relate? It stresses me out that I have a mental reaction to something of sexual content more than groinals. Anyone else?
