chest tightness with meds?

Has anyone taken sertaline/Zoloft and experienced chest tightness? wanting to throw up a bit, muscle twitches or just a weird feeling in muscles. sleeping issues, loss of appetite, sweating, headaches. I've been to my psychiatrist yesterday but I felt I didn't provide enough details about how the meds actually went and it's really bothering me that I didn't so I'm not sure what to do now and I'm nervous about some of these side effects. I have a feeling I don't want to continue on the meds but he told me to continue and prescribed me something else to increase my focus as well (I have adhd) any help? Are these side effects normal like should I wait and it'll be fine or not?

If u just started it it should go away. I will say that I weirdly started experiencing being tensed up and a little nauseous when standing for really long periods of time but that’s just a weird thing I have going on I feel (also on Zoloft)

I started it long ago but I went off of it for some time cuz I was really sick, then I went back on it again but without decreasing the dose then increasing it first like how my psychiatrist told me so it's probably why I'm dealing with side effects I haven't experienced before but it worried me a little. Chest pain and weird muscle feelings is what's worrying me most

I used to be on setraline wasn’t on it for a long time it was giving me terrible insomnia. I had to get off it and got on something else. The bottle does say that you might experience side effects, it should go away after some time but if you find it to be really bothersome I’d suggest contacting your psychiatrist

yess same here with the insomnia, I'll wait till next month to see with him how it goes hopefully nothing too crazy happens in the meantime

I was on sertraline for 3 years tbh I loved it I didn’t get as many side effects on that I think just diarrhea and insomnia but they all cause insomnia at first. See if he can prescribe u a sleeping pill. I started lexapro almost a month ago and I had bad insomnia so I was given ambien which I know is a pretty hardcore drug but it’s the only thing that let me sleep and for the first time I’m just getting 5 hours of sleep without ambien the last couple days which is actually progress cuz before I would only get like 2 lol

I have some of those symptoms tremors or twitches, fatigue, loss of appetite, sweating. Dry mouth. I don’t want to continue this medication as well.

Also what do u take for ur adhd? Im curious because i have it too and am wondering if meds fir that would help me with focus too more (hopefully not increase anxiety tho that’s my only concern)

Since I have ocd and adhd it can make messy effects with my ocd to take adhd stimulants, so my psychiatrist prescribed me something close to another anti depressant to help with focus and nervousness and adhd I think, it's called atomexetine though I haven't tried it yet

starting Zoloft.

For starters I was on this medicine before i remember the first few weeks were very scary and debilitating. I don’t remember why I stopped taking it , it was about 7 months ago. but I just recently started back because my ocd and anxiety has been off the chain. I keep having bad thoughts about the side affects and I’m terrified like “ what if I have a seizure” can anybody share an experience? Anyone on Zoloft here. Thanks !

Medication

So I have been diagnosed with GAD and OCD and my psychiatrist prescribed me with zoloft 🤔 but I dont know im really hesitant to start medication because im scared of the side effects and ik afraid of relying on a medication for a long time. Does anyone else take zoloft? What is it like? Any side effects?

Sertraline Side-effects

Today marks my third day on 150 mg of Sertraline, and I've been noticing some symptoms or issues that could be related? I'm wondering if anyone else deals or has dealt with something similar? I've been having really vivid dreams and nightmares, and when I wake up from them, I'm DRENCHED in sweat. Like absolutely soaked. But besides that, I'm extremely anxious. Even the dreams I can't remember leave me feeling off, and then I spiral wondering what they were about. Then there's not being able to cry? I'm not incapable of feeling emotion, but the tears feel trapped, and I just get nauseous if anything. There's been a couple of times where I've been able to cry, but it's like on and off 😭 Oh, and the last thing is constantly feeling hot? Like my face will feel flushed, but the rest of my body is a normal temperature. It's weird🧍‍♀️
