I'm curious to find out what others say about feeling trapped in bed and not able to do anything. I've been like this for a while now and it's ruined my whole life. I can't snap out of it.
This one is really tough. I’ve been there so many times, sometimes still am. Can’t give you any advice 🙏, just wanted to acknowledge the toughness of it.
It’s hard but baby steps are important. If I ever feel bedridden or just wanting to stay trapped in bed, I’ll simply leave my apartment building and go outside or walk somewhere a few minutes away

you’re not alone. i feel the same way. my sleep patterns are really messed up too.. but i’ve started to walk my dogs outside more, since it’s getting cooler out.. not walking far but just up and down the street. and it’s made me kind of feel more connected, rather than like disconnected all the time
Are you depressed? Have you reached out for help? When you say "not able" and "I can't" - is it really true? Or is it your emotions talking? I think all of us have days, weeks, months when we feel so bad that we can't leave bed - but we can chose to take tiny little steps and move on anyway. To stay in bed is the worse thing you can do - your anxiety, snd your overall mood will be worse, you loose strength and faith in your own ability. Tell your self that you can move out of your bed, and do it. And please reach out for someone for help and support.
I have chronic pain , chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia every day is a struggle for me to get out of bed, every day I wake up tired and in pain and want to stay in bed, sometimes if the pain or fatigue doesn’t let me I’ll stay in bed a little longer but then I always force myself to get up and take little steps and move on like Estrid says
I mean, the first thing you can do is have a family member, friend, boyfriend get you out of bed and strongly encourage you to get on with regular activities jobs,hobbies, games, meals. Even if it’s uncomfortable. I’ve been there myself after work drinking 12 packs, and listening to gospel songs and reading the Bible until I fell asleep. The only thing that changed all that was getting out of my space and getting somewhere with friends and family and going to therapy.
Thank you. My husband is trying, but I just can't seem to do it. I'm having a hard time taking care of myself. I have no appetite and I'm not really sleeping. I'm really at a loss.

@Anonymous Yes... I've been forcing myself to eat. Now I'm back in bed and haven't showered in a couple days. I know I need to do it. It's so hard to function like this
Does anyone feel like they are stuck in place? I haven’t done anything besides lay in bed on my phone (if I’m not at work) for almost a year now. I have the desire to go out and be a part of the world, but I feel like my body is glued to my bed. I can’t motivate myself to get out of pajamas to go anywhere, and the entire time I’m out (even just at the store) I just want to be home in bed. I mainly just DoorDash food now, when I can convince myself to eat. I’m tired.
I know I keep talking about This but I’m too tired :( I’m really struggling and I don’t know what to do anymore. I feel like I might be the only person who experiences this in the way I do. It’s gotten so bad that during intimacy or self-pleasure, I feel like I’m acting on a thought — like my body is moving because of it. It’s terrifying and deeply hurtful. The moment it happens, I immediately panic, try to rewind everything in my head, and ruminate to figure out what I was thinking at that exact second… but I can never remember. That makes it even worse. feel so lost and hopeless, like I’ll never be able to heal or move on from this. People tell me “it’s just OCD,” but it doesn’t feel like OCD to me. It feels like I’m the exception — like no one else truly experiences it like this, especially the part where it feels like I physically responded to a thought. I know people say “others go through this too,” but my mind keeps saying, “not like this, not this specific thing.”Sometimes I just wish I could go back and relive those moments so I could be sure what happened, but I know that’s not possible. I feel so stuck in guilt and doubt that I don’t even know who I am anymore. I’m scared I’m a bad person and that I’ll always feel this way. I’ll never be free or be the same again everyday I live with deep depression
Hi everyone. I need someone to talk to right now. My parents won’t like to what I have to say and it is making me feel hopeless. I really want to have a life this year if examples in person school, doing a job, or doing something that will make friends. I don’t have anything. For the past 15 months I have been all alone in my room. My parents forced me to do online because I had ocd. And I have gotten a lot better over this past year. And I feel 100% confident to go to in person school. My parents said that I can’t. And that you can do a program and online school again. I said to myself that I will have a life this year. And I am trying to make that happen. I am begging my parents to let me have a life, but I just feel trapped in my room and in my head. I want to go out and live. I don’t know if I should leave or stay. But at the same token I want to be able to have a life and not be in my room, but then I don’t know if my parents are right or not. Someone please say something cause I think I am about to give up
