My dog shows me unconditional love every day. She doesn't care if I'm 4 hours into a spiral, or having a solid day. She is just there for me regardless. On hard days, she will make things like a walk or a grocery store run feel less lonely & usually does something silly to pull me out of my head. I love her so much!

We lost our 13 year old beagle pup in June. He was the sweetest boy. He saved my life back in January during a major ocd flare up. He was the only thing that made me feel even remotely sane. I’m so grateful for him and miss him so much ❤️🩹
@Anonymous I’m sooooooo sorry for your loss — I’m so grateful June helped you during your flare up and can’t imagine the sadness you’ve had— I’ve never cried harder in my life then when my dog died — hang in there 💕
When I cried nonstop and felt desperate several times, he came to my side and stayed until I calm down. He would knock on my door and lay by my side so I could sleep. He is definitely my support

My collie Denver I rescued from our local shelter the day before I got diagnosed with OCD, he was there for most of my ERP appointments we joke hes ERP certified. He was part of some of my first exposures (Emotional contamination). He motivates me to show up even when its hard, And he continues to show me the endless unconditional love that only an pet can give 🧡 hes a good boy 🐾🐶
I have a boxer named Konan currently on my health concern ocd journey and I mostly am in my room he comes in and checks in on me and sits on my feet lol he’s a sweet dog 🤭🩷
My cats are my support system. Or a big part of it. Although I was going through a lot lately, my eldest cat (15) needed to be hospitalized in an emergency vet for two nights and I was also sick. So I was so super stressed out. Weirdly enough, the evening we took our older cat to the vet, right before we left the house, we discovered a bedraggled kitten outside in the rain. We took her in. So while our oldest cat was in the hospital, we were able to distract ourselves caring for the kitten. Now they are both healthy and doing well.
That's great Husherdust I'm sure your really happy now I would be! My two kittens Kiki and Miso have been here for me and it's the cutest thing! They lay right next to mee and Prrr loudly it really helps my anxiety with contamination ocd.

My dogs are so loving, so non-judgemental, and so comforting! My ocd seems to go away when I am with them!!!💕💕💕
Recovery has definitely been helped by my two huge, chubby-cheeked, British Shorthair tomcats! We chose Earl Grey and Viscount Biscuit as unofficial Emotional Support animals, because of their placid, sturdy, loyal natures. They're both cuddlebugs who love to sit on my lap and purr (CHRIST, the weight of them 😄!) and they're so communicative - pointing at the toys they'd like to play with, asking for pettings when they want companionship, doing little tricks like 'high-five' or 'sit' in return for extra treats etc. I'm in love with them and they've prompted me to keep up healthy routines in OCD recovery, like going outside in our garden with them on their little walking-harnesses for fresh air, or making sure I'm up in the mornings at avoid time to feed them.
Awww so cute! I know everyone loves dogs but cats, they rule. My cats help me so much too. They just started to go on walks and I love it, it keeps me moving to get so fresh air after therapy sessions and cool down my thoughts.
I have a dachshund and scottie, the dachshund is all love and licks while the scottie always wants to be near. They both help me when I'm sad or triggered

Everyday all day! I work from home so they're here on every 15 minute break and on my lunch! They need me they cry they cause problems they cost money and occasionally I'll get some loving! But they keep me going
