God ocd

I hope you have seen a aeroplane flying over the sky it will be very small ones u see when it is landing you see that same aeroplane bigger than you see it flying over you same way god see the god always above your head in sky don’t try to goo near god it feels bigger but hard to handle just be a good person to you rest of things god will take care.

Hi love, I was in the same boat as you. I can empathize with how your feeling and all the thoughts. The biggest blessing that has occurred to me is the concept of Peace Jesus provides. This exact paragraph you wrote to us, tell God this exact thing … Ik you probably hear it so much but God loves you … he cares for you in all ways ❤️ he hurts when you hurt. The lord draws close to the broken hearted, ik you may feel far but your not.. he’s right next to you.

The way to get close to him is to stop your compulsions and trust in him have the faith that he has a way to help you out of this. That is what faith is and you will be closer to him not by ruminating or doing tasks but by letting him do his work in giving you the strength to stop the vicious cycle. To feel gods love you have to turn, turn from your compulsions and you will see his hand-that is faith feeling that doubt and discomfort and persisting in-spite of pain-you got this!

It's very common to be triggered by reading the Bible or going to church if you have religious OCD. So don't worry if you are not reading the Bible very much right now. I have learned to just even take one or two verses a day and think about those. I use the ones that comfort me, where I am not triggered. God is totally happy with you focusing on little bits of his word at a time and staying in the places where you are being nurtured. You don't have to read a lot of your Bible right now or spend a lot of time doing religious things. Your only job right now is to grow in the truth that you are God's child , that he loves you, and that his grace covers you at all times. When we have OCD, we don't know how to live in those truths. But if we could live in those truths, we would be so much better off. So don't worry about how much you are reading your Bible. Maybe just a few times a day you can meditate on the fact that you are God's child and that he loves you, and he is still accomplishing his purpose through you, even though you are struggling with all the OCD. I get it! I struggle with OCD every day! I feel like I could get so much more done if I didn't struggle. But it also gives me an opportunity to learn at a deeper level, because the OCD obscures the truth of God's love and grace. In Another words, when we have OCD, we really don't understand what it means to live under God's grace, and to live completely surrounded by his love. We are only familiar with law and fear . And we need to learn because our hearts are completely broken by the OCD.
