@777Q I am rooting for you. Enjoy it. Yeah, he is a legend. My hubby always says that seeing Bruce at a concert must be an amazing experience, because he gives it all. If we had an opportunity, I would definitely go, but Bruce in Europe, what are the chances? And also I am scared to think about the ticket prices. If I had the money, I think I would rather invest it towards NOCD therapy. Or not... Making my husband happy makes me happy. Today it's our 20th wedding anniversary. 😊

@777Q Love it😁. We have something like your Halloween in February. To chase the winter away and welcome the spring. Although, there will be parties all over here too tomorrow anyway. I am a bit too old and too lazy to go, but a funny and a bit scary movie is how I will enjoy the evening. I might try to scare my cats. 👻🙀. It might be good to reconsider the idea since three are seniors and I do not wish to cause a cat heart attack. My boy cat is the cutest when sth surprises him. He pulls his ears way back, looks bedazzled with his biiig green eyes....precious. But he is a senior so I won't risk it. 😊

Good for you. Have you done ERP therapy? I am also doing much better now than when I first joined NOCD. It's just that things like those in the previous days do happen and upset my inner peace. Can you tell me more about GAD? When is anxiety a part of OCD and when is it diagnosed as GAD?

Hi. I am going through some weird period. Firstly everything was great, but last few days I feel like I am not myself, I have lost control over my own decisions. I seem to be headed towards my ocd triggers like a magnet. I know every event should be an opportunity to practice ERP, but after stupid unexpected things happening every day 1 to several times, for days and days. it just feels like I have no say in my life. Today I thought I had lost an expensive pair of sunglasses. I was desperate to find them. Revisited all the shops and places I had visited before and still nothing. The anxiety was through the roof for me. I spent 2 hours looking for them, drove over 100 km, for nothing. I came home, disappointed in myself with no hope anymore and on a shelf I saw the very same pair of glasses I was sure I had lost. . I felt like I was reborn. How are you doing? I didn't see any of your replies for a while, and I just took a break from NOCD. Without being in touch with you, there's not much here for me that makes me feel better and useful to others. 😉😊👋

@777Q Hi. I will try to be here and reply as often and as soon as possible. How are you? How is your purrrfect feline companion? You also have to deal with Magical thinking ocd, right? Today, just minutes ago I again was doing what I felt like doing, scrolling through a list of TV shows from near here and I saw an interview from years ago being available to watch from a person who knows my trigger person. It was about an hour ago. I still haven't showered yet, I am postponing as much as I can, but I will soon, because I have to anyway. This way I will tell myself that I am not a looser because I would take a shower anyway as a daily routine. It is funny how lying to yourself can bring some calm and one accepts it although one knows it's a lie Now my ocd is giving me examples why these to me upsetting things have been happening by connecting bad luck to something I did, sth I ate, something I saw,... And that is the part that worries me. The more it happens the stronger my ocd forces me into believing that there is no coincidence behind those occurrences, just pure magical connections. It is getting more tiresome day by day. It's making me anxious and a bit scared what will happen next. I know I have to accept it and sit with it. @NODA💕 How do you define magical thinking? I am superstitious and I believe in karma and also many things in life are connected somehow.

@777Q Hi. Are you sure you have ocd? 😉 Vast majority of people I know are just like you. I also believe some things in life are destined to happen, all one can do is to decide which way you will get to the destined event,.. Some people fly to it without any obstacles. Then there is people like me, who somehow choose the hard way. I also believe in Karma. Even so, I do have many unanswered questions about it. Some things just don't make sense. My ocd is actually an upgraded Magical thinking ocd. It is called thought and emotional contamination ocd. For me it is enough just to see something or someone in the distance, and I feel as dirty as someone rolling in mud. And also endangered. I have to clean myself and everything that I touch or touches me from the moment I was triggered until I take a shower. It used to exhaust me to the brink of death. Now with Sertraline it is way easier and milder. But it is all based in Magical thinking. For example I somehow connected me eating pistachios with some sort of argument that will follow in the next few days.
