@jasminenicolexe - This is actually very normal for OCD. All of it!!! There is a certain amount of actions that we do that is just part of the OCD. And the scary, out-of-control thoughts are normal too. Deep breath. You are okay. This is normal. This is 100 percent all OCD. This is what you need to do: You need to take all of those things you just described and just drop them in the "OCD bucket" and don't worry about them and go on with your life. In other words, you need to apply ERP to this situation. In my mind, ERP is more than just practicing exposures. It is also an attitude and method for handling daily intrusive thoughts and urges and actions. Your basic posture during ERP therapy is this: "If it's OCD, you just drop it and move on with your life, without doing anything to fix it." Let's talk about what that would look like for you. --You end up hitting yourself. That's just stress from OCD. So just drop it and move on with life. --You end up acting on minor urges. That's just OCD. So you drop it and move on with life. --You have crazy, scary intrusive thoughts. Those are just OCD. So you just move on with life anyway, despite the fact that those thoughts are still there. ERP therapy will help a lot. Do you have a therapist? I can tell you are really distressed. @Tea and Honey @jasminenicolexe but yes i actually just got a therapist this week with our first session being tomorrow!! and it was just a whole thing i had me and my family worried and considering if i should maybe go to a mental facility but we just came up with ways to ground me and see if things can be safe and okay (because they are!) until tomorrow where i can finally get some help and medication and start this journey finally. but you helped me so much and feel so grounded than u have literally all week 😞🥹 i thought i was just a special type of ocd and maybe had some other underlying disorder..ocd is just very complicated and has no bounds, i feel like i’m learning that everyday. thank you so much ♥️♥️♥️ and if i have anymore questions or feel myself struggling especially as far as sleep i will reach out to you :)

@Tea and Honey thank you so much 🥹🥹🥹 i really was doing okay but i feel like i may be having another moment and i’m trying to not scare myself with basically thinking all the same things again in thinking i’m a threat or something, that i’ll snap 😔 my boyfriend came over and i kinda just dissociated and start ig analyzing myself and getting hyper aware of my body sensations thinking it’s me about to slip again 😔😔😔
