I’ve been a Christian my whole life and I’ve had moments where my OCD has made me question my faith (like I fully knew it was my just OCD causing doubt, it was very clear to me that’s what it was) but my OCD has never made me wonder if I wanted to convert to another religion, so I can’t relate to that. I’m not trying to push anything on to you at all, but I will say being a Christian has been the only thing that’s gotten me through crippling anxiety, panic attacks, and OCD looping thoughts and fears. So for me, I knew when it was 100% my OCD that was making me doubt my faith. I actually dealt with that for a few weeks at one point. But I knew deep down that my doubt was OCD attacking what I loved most. Jesus has been who I’ve been able to put my trust and hope in, so it made sense that OCD would try to come after who I loved most. Because I’ve literally seen Him heal, felt His love, and knew I believed in Him. But, I will say I’ve heard of so many people being right where you are and it was Jesus tugging on their heart. But I totally get the doubt and confusion part with religion. Once again, not trying to push anything on to anyone at all, but just wanted to say my experience — Jesus saved me and He can do the same for you and anyone else. Christianity is awesome!!! And there is lots of evidence for it, including historical and archeological evidence. There is a lot that you could research if you are curious. However, you should not want to convert because you feel forced to do it (because that is how OCD works). In other words, if you want to explore Christianity because you are curious and you want to learn, then you should go for it! But if you feel like you are pressured, that's probably OCD. I’m a Christian myself, and I’ve had doubts in my own religion and beliefs! If you feel like you want to convert then you should go for it! And if you find out it’s not the religion for you then try something else out! If you are considering trying another religion out I would suggest go to a church and sit through a sermon just to see if you like it, and if you do that’s great! If not then you figure out it’s not for you! Best wishes!

you can be buddhist and christian at the same time, honestly. as buddhism is a lifestyle. i say try to explore these thought and tap into both faiths, see how you feel. if you lean one way more than the other that’s also okay! life is complicated and mysterious so it’s not abnormal to feel like you might want to go down a different path. id say this most likely isn’t ocd unless youre showing signs that this is a compulsion. do you feel like you need to convert soley because you’re worried of something bad happening if youre wrong? or do you genuinely feel interested in this new religion and its beliefs?

It's OCD when the possibility of being in the "wrong" religion and better off with a new religion is becoming obsessional to the point where you neglect your regular activities. Considering the possibility of changing religion may have a more dramatic effect on your mood in the short term, but in the long term setting goals and striving towards them one step at the time will make you happier even if it may not always be super exciting.
