My therapist says peace and joy is where your truth is found. If your freaking out at the moment you cant find your truth there. It will only be found when you calm down. You can't reason out any thoughts when you are in the middle of a panic attack.

But it's true and I'm just in denial it feels so real it cant not be true. I always felt different with my ocd and now this is definitive proof.

@LinaD10 We wouldn’t be stressing this much if it was true

The thing is your past doesn't determine your sexuality. There are straight people who've had same sex experiences. You determine your sexuality.

3 years ago I literally remember saying im straight but if I were bisexual or lesbian later on then whatever. I wish I never said that cause now it is coming back to bite me in the butt. I'm afraid that I was in denial then and new it. Why would I say that if I was bi though? Everything from my past is slamming right into my face. I dont even know what to do anymore.

@LinaD10 Yeah same, but ocd wants us to doubt everything and gets it hands on anything it can.

@JS0406 One more thing what do you mean if it were true we wouldn't be stressing like this?

@LinaD10 People in denial don’t question if they’re in denial and don’t have the need to ruminate and check to see if it’s true but with ocd we need 100% certainty.

@Emma20 Because it is hocd, and that literally is the whole premise of it. Worrying you are a different sexual orientation than the one you thought before.

It is just the real event OCD which is making you feel like this. When such panic attacks come, it's better to know that it's okay and it's due to the misunderstanding in your body. You are atleast in your senses now, you know what to do. Don't think about it in such extreme because it's not who you are willing to be.

So you dont think I'm bisexual? (Sorry I know this is asking for reassurance).

@LinaD10 It is not something you have to clarify now. In the bigger picture you need to know the other things. Being bisexual is not important but your mental condition is more important now. Relax yourself and know you can do so much better than before! ?

I’ve read so many things about sexuality when I’ve been really freaking out! I think the person who responded probably doesn’t truly get where your OCD is coming from-it’s hard for people who haven’t dealt with it! I remember when I first started worrying I would get in such a headspace where my mind convinced myself I had to come out. It’s in the moments where you’re relaxed and you’re not extremely anxious that you know the truth. If you’re already spiraling, don’t trust what your brain is saying! I was always told don’t make decisions when you’re in that headspace!

I know but because of the doubt and uncertainty everytime a thought comes I will be like you're bisexual, you're bisexual, cause I'm so sick of doubting. Then I'll force myself to have same sex fantasies even though I fricking really dont want to at ALL! Ocd sucks. I hate it.
