Is anyone on Zoloft does it work I been on it for about a month and still don't feel a diff
Ive been on Sertraline (Zoloft) for one year today and it brightened my brain š§ I started with 25mg, then went up to 50mg after 10 months, and now, this week, I just started taking 75mg. My side effects in the first month were potent (plummet in libido and midday naps from fatigue š©). Once these subsided my libido bounced back, my energy returned and I feel my anxious thoughts quieting down. -A Zolofter in Brooklyn NYC
@JG_NYC Will the dosage go any higher? Why did it keep getting higher?
@martha_panda It just depends on our brain and what we need. I used to think that it going up was a bad thing, but realized it's what my brain needed. I was on 50 mg for years, and I went up to 62.5 because I went through a bad relapse. In all this though, I'm hopeful.
@Hopeful 21 Oh okay thatās good
@martha_panda Im feeling good at 75mg currently š I was informed the ceiling is 200mg. I increased gradually as part of my treatment plan + doing therapy 2x weekly on combination. Sertraline has been a game-changer and brain š§ brightener for me. I also stopped taking Welbutrin and only take Zoloft. Its changed my life for the better.
Been on SSRIs for 20+ years. Started on Prozac 50mg, too many side effects. Switched to zoloft probably 12 years ago. Started at 100mg went to 150mg and now at 200mg. Everyone is different as to how they react to certain meds and which dose works for them. I've found 200mg to be the most therapeutic. Hope this helps
Thanks

Thanks
It helped me for sure.
Yes it does. It takes time.
I had a genesite test done itās something that definitely helped me it rules out what medication will work better for you. I personally was on Zoloft and it came back as it was the least one effective for me. Also the test showed I was low on enzymes so I have to take L- methylfolate because I believe they said I have a gene that doesnāt produce serotonin. Without me even taking the supplement my medication wonāt work
@Anonymous This sounds similar to what my results were but I didnāt take the supplement. Do you mind me asking where you purchase it?
@NatSwai Deplin 15 mg is what my doc perscribrd me when I searched it itās a l-methylfolate that was sent to Walgreens but thereās also generic brand the Walgreens pharmacy was telling me.
@Anonymous Yesss Deplin! I didnāt want to take it bc it was so expensive. Is it worth it? Iām so curious
@NatSwai Iām sure itās different for everyone. I feel like it helps if your doc prescribed it might be worth trying it
I used to be on Sertraline, and It took me about 3-6 months to adjust to it. Itās a slow drug that needs to be taken both consistently and with time. Most people need 50mg to feel a difference.
I'm on Zoloft! It's helped a lot. I started at 25mg. I kept on that for a month and didn't feel anything. Then I raised it to 50mg and THATS when I started to feel a difference. There were a couple of side effects, like a slight increase in intrusive thoughts and feelings drowsy. But after I adjusted, they disappeared. I'm currently on 250mg, but I've been gradually raising it over a year. Some people need a higher dose, and some need a lower. It's different for everyone. It takes time to find a dose that works for you, so don't stress š«¶š»š«¶š»
Thanks
I started on 12.5 then now 25 but I don't feel any changes yet prob because it's only been a week
@dbow92191 Most likely, yes! The comment below is correct.
SSRIs take about 6 to 8 weeks for most people to start feeling the effects and then youāll have to take the time to get the dosage correct. You just have to be patient and give it time.
Thank you
