I’m not feeling the greatest today and my OCD is latching on to EVERYTHING!!! I have a doctors appointment albeit a gyno appointment but still in 5 days! I can get through this!

@ocdSuupport Okay, I can offer some help! I’m gonna try and stay in a middle area cause I know reassurance doesn’t help our OCD, but I can provide some support! POCD is so hard, it was one of my first themes and I dealt with it for a long time. Groinal response is unfortunately super normal and while it may feel like it automatically means that you’re attracted to whatever cause it, that is not always the case. I get groinal responses randomly and especially when I’m uncomfortable or anxious about something. Either way groinal responses ≠ attraction, but they could. Kinda have to stay in the middle of like maybe that’s what that means but maybe not. A good one would also be just because I feel uncomfortable right now, does not mean I’m in danger. Your boyfriend was very vulnerable with you and I’m glad that you both are able to be open like that! It helped me a lot too with my partner being open and understanding my OCD as well.
