I don’t know what I’m doing anymore

@JohanSanderson My therapist. My family tries to understand but don’t really get it. Sadly my extreme ocd caused me to get divorced and being sick for so long and isolation I don’t have many friends that keep up w me.

@#happiness Yeah the OCD can affect just about everything. Divorces are a really difficult type of loss too, I’m so sorry you went through that. Are you worried about self harm?

@#happiness How long has it felt like to you? Was it quick seeming or has it been a few years worth of six months?

@JohanSanderson I’ve been struggling for 6 years. I’ve been in erp for 6 long months.

@#happiness I understand how much time can slow down when you’re struggling for every day or even minute. You said you’re feeling like you’re stuck. Have you felt any progress or good days lately?

@JohanSanderson Not lately. I know I’ve made some progress but I feel like I’m drowning.

@gracexocd I’ve tried every SSRI there is … I’m on Zoloft 200mg and Abilify 15mg

@#happiness have you tried luvox/ fluvoxamine?

@#happiness It was the only one that ever seemed to help, but i’ve only ever been on the lowest mg of 50 and i think i should go up because i am kind of spiraling again, usually the flare ups last some days or weeks but i am just waiting for it to pass hoping it does soon

@Leah Juliana I’m treatment resistant so meds don’t help much

@Leah Juliana I’ve been wondering about this medication. A lot of. People with ocd have had luck with this. How was it compared to Zoloft sertraline and what are the common side effects with it ?

@gracexocd I don’t have any side effects, i take it at night and i feel like it’s the only one that helped with my ocd while also helping anxiety at the same time, i got off of it recently because i was pregnant but just had my baby a few weeks ago and got back on because i noticed my ocd spiking back up.. i read hormones can also make it spike back up so hopefully everything levels out soon and i feel ok again

@gracexocd thank you, the lowest 50 mg is all i’ve ever been on! i might go up to 100 soon though :)

@Leah Juliana this medicine goes all the way up to 300mg

@#happiness In my experience abilify makes ocd worse and makes it harder to do ERP, it's like neverending rumination.
